Do you think that CBS manipulates the game to what they want to see? I know that there has been talk in the past about people in the DR trying to sway the house guests to do things. I just wonder if everything is planned way in advance like the "America votes for nothing" thing. Did CBS not like that Alex was the favorite so they gave the house guests the vote instead? Did they want James to stay in the game more than Alex and what if America chose Allison?? I think that CBS would love the drama factor if she was put back in with Josh. Also, why was Sharon given a 2nd chance over Jacob? I know that Jacob's mouth was the reason that they got kicked out but was it fair? And then there was the "Ryan save"...Did they plan to give poor Ryan another chance after his partner blew it for them or was it set that the 6th couple evicted...only 1 would go? What do u think about the possible conspiracy theory???

I have heard fans and house guests wonder this in the past. I can say that Josh was asked if he would rather have Sharon or Jacob as his partner when Neil had to leave and he chose Sharon over Jacob. As for the rest of it, I suppose it is possible. But, I also believe that their motto "expect the unexpected" applies to us, the audience, too. I think they sort of like to switch things up for the shock value. You could be right but, we will never know!

I must have missed when Josh had the choice..Hard to believe cause I'm a BB addict but I do remember one time when my hubby canceled my recording on Tivo because of a Sabres game! I wanted to kill him that night! LOL

It was when they revealed why Neil was no longer on the show. That must have been the eppy you missed. I don't remember what CBS eppy that was but, it was several weeks ago. I would have been really mad if my hubby scheduled a Sabers game to record and made me miss Big Brother! Fortunately, he is a big fan too and we watch it together. So, I lucked out there! We have it set up for a season's pass.

hey I already answered this in another place :) Ok so Josh got to choose between Jacob and Sharon and he choose Sharon hands down, so that wasn't BB's decision. I already wrote a lot about this in response to your post in another discussion so I'll summarize to say - I do believe CBS throws in twists that will make the show go the way they want it to in order to cause the most drama. I also believe they watch the live show A LOT and know exactly who is voting for who ahead of time so that they can screw it up as much as possible.

I'm sorry I didn't see the same question posted but thanks for answering anyways! I guess in some ways its good to change up the show for ratings but sometimes, I just think that they make bad decisions. I think I missed the part where Josh picked Sharon. I wondered about that. I think that it would have been interesting to see Jacob and Sharon sequestered like Amanda and Alex and Jen and Parker were.

I think that when Sharon came in the house she was saying she was so happy to get away from Jacob. They didn't say much however, just went back to business as usual right away.

I definately think they manipulate the game. It's all about the drama. But I don't think they rig the game so only one person wins the whole show. There are too many different factors. Like this last twist. I'm glad alex didn't come back. Yes he was cute but he had no game and was boring. James coming back and the aftermath was a hit as far as drama. So much drama for it.

I wanted to add that it happens every season and not just this one.

Oh for sure they manipuliate the show somehow. I mean they need the drama and they will get it by all means possible I think. Im sure they have a set plan in place for each show in advance but if they need to change it up they will.

They always manipulate these shows so that people will watch. There are a lot of fans out there (including myself) that say if James gets evicted they won't watch anymore. So of course CBS has to manipulate a little to keep the ratings up. Sometimes they take it just a little too far though.
