Yes, I think movies do affect us in a sense. They affect our emotions. They can make us feel happy or sad or angry, etc.. Anything that appeals to our emotions like that has to have an effect on our personal life.

Yes movies have a deep impact in our personal lives,many a times we try to corelate our real life with reel life,or, try to act in the same manner which our stars play.We dress up,update our fashion requirements,accessories like TV soaps n serial stars. Increasing crimes,anti social activities, violence are fuelled by cruel ruthless acts in movies, particularly they are moulding innocent childrens' minds. They are easily taken by fight sequences,stunts shown by our super action heroes.These movies have a numbing effect on the developing minds of children.They lose thinking power,creativity n often show poor aptitude if they remain glued to movies all the day long. Matured people on th other hand are able to differentiate between good n bad,n,but oftn fail to realize that movies are mere a media of entertainment n not a guideline to be followed mindlessly.

I think more than movies it's the serials which affect our personal lives. Movies finish up in say 2-3 hours. But serials are never ending.

Yes it has lot of effect on the kids especially at impressionable ages. These days children spend more time with TV than parents and all the personal traits they learn from TV. Any visual media goes as impression in the mind very fast. it is best media of communication.
