How do you decide which doctor you go to when you need something checked up or are not well. And what makes you decide to stick to him? Is it his qualifications or his reputation or his communication skills or his dress sense? How do you feel about your doctor?

I think the reputation is the most important factor if I decide to choose a doctor.Because the good reputation stands for the approval of lots of patients to some extent. That is quite important and neccessary!

Reputation is definitely important. And that means what other people say - not just his qualifications.

I'm extra particular when it comes to my son's pediatrician. I like a doctor who sincerely listens to what his patients might say. They don't just nod their heads as if agreeing to what I tell them. But they should look straight at me, so I can be sure that they understand what I'm telling them. I had to switch to different pediatricians because I don't see in them that they do care about their patients. It's like they will talk for 2 minutes, then it's bye-bye time. Then I stand up and pay their fee to their secretary. It won't matter to me if a doctor isn't that very well dressed. As long as he or she knows what they're talking about and I repeat, sincerity in what they do is the best indicator.
