Do you feel you have ever inspired anybody to "hang in there?"

Several years ago as we were doing street fairs (selling incense, junk jewelry, toys, etc.) we met a couple who had a moon balloon and were really discouraged because they weren't doing very well with their endeavor. My husband encouraged them not to give up, and a few years later we saw them again at another festival. Now they had a moon balloon, pony rides, and some other attractions, I don't remember what all. The husband told mine that they had persevered because of his (my hubby's) encouragement and that they were doing great. Made hubby feel good that these people took his advice and hung in there! Don't be modest--are there people have become successful because of the advice you gave them?

I have not been in that situation but I do remember something that a teacher of mine once said. My teacher was a good friend of a neighbor of ours and on my 16th birthday our neighbor said "wouldn't it be nice to be 16 again?" My teacher said that she had always found something to enjoy about every year of her life. I have thought of that statement many times over the years. She really made me think of what is really important in my life.
