I'm on a spree!!!

For those of you who know me well, you probably know I don't start that many discussions. Starting more than one or two in a day is very weird for me, and yet today I think I've started four or so already! I don't know what's up with me... I'm just in that kind of mood, I guess. Do you go on discussion starting sprees, or do you keep yourself in check? Do you get annoyed when a friend you have notifications on for goes on a spree and fills up your inbox? Does anyone real want to hear all about my random thoughts of the day?

I must be like you. I normally don't start discussions I read them. If I do it might be one or two and on a rare occasion it will be 3 or 4. So you something in your thinking cap today hey? I will have to go check these thoughts out. So was it find being the one to have a lot to say today?

*nods* I was pretty surprised when I wound up responding to several of yours in a row not long ago, though after the first couple I did it on purpose. I guess my thinking cap was just on yesterday. I wonder what today will be like. I still have some ideas, but I''m tired because my kid didn't want to sleep last night, so whether I wind up starting them or not is still up in the air. Plus I have to get through all the responses to yesterday's discussions, and a few of my old ones that have been dug up.

I do! I do! I love random thoughts. I have a journal called Random Thoughts and Wishes, and some of my best writing is inspired from what's in that journal. So random away lecanis. I'm not verteran enough on site here to have started any meaningful discussions, but I'm sure the muse will inspire me sooner or later. Right now, I'm just filling up on randomness and getting to know people.

With me it's a case of wait for a discussion for ages then three or more will come along at the same time! Like buses really! I like my friends to keep me busy and all my friends are on notifications so as you can guess my email is flooded with them, I was away for two days and when I returned I had loads and loads I am still trying to catch up! I never get bored of my friends creating new discussions for me, I can't answer all of them but I do read all of them with interest. You are on a roll my friend, that's good x

Heh, that reminds me of a poem I read about "bloody buses and bloody men" now that I think of it, about all coming along at once. I wish I could keep all my friends on notifications. I need to pare down my friend's list to the ones I actually respond to. I deleted most of the inactives on my first few pages yesterday, but it took hours to even get through the first 10 or so pages, out of almost 50 pages!

It's amazing. I don't usually post here either, but lately I'm finding it easier and easier to find new discussions to post. It usually happens with me starting several and then I go through a dry spell and I don't post anything else for days. And since I don't use friend notifications, I just come here to see what everyone is up to, it doesn't bother me when people go on posting sprees. At least I have something to respond to.

Maybe it's contagious! I usually post a lot when I'm not seeing much I want to respond to, but today I haven't even been looking much. Me and my moods!

When I come here and I don't see a lot of posts or anything, I don't feel like posting my own discussions or replying to any. It's weird really. I seem to be at my worst when nothing is going on here.

If the questions are worth answering... that's OK. If I get 6 questions in a row... and I don't like any of them... there is a pretty good chance that I will turn your notification "off".

Haha, I think most of them were fairly interesting, and I seem to be having good responses from my friends. So I guess I'm not doing too bad! I would understand if you turned my notification off for being annoying though!

Yes of course we do! Random thoughts are the best ones to get of your chest!! I hate typo errors I quite often make a few without noticing as I tend to type fairly quickly so then i look up and realize i've got about 4 out of 20 words wrong!! Although I don't always go back and change them all as other people should be able to make out the word I was trying to say and should also understand that not all people are 100% perfect on computers!! I am actually quite good myself tho to be honest. I get slightly annoyed with myself if I've got a word wrong and its in the Title of a discussion or something!! It would be nice to be able to edit those ones!!

Hehe, yep, gotta love randomness! Eh, I get annoyed with typos too. Or the occasional bad grammar issue, which I tend to get when I'm thinking ahead of myself. I wish I could go back and edit sometimes after I post, but since my discussions tend to be kind of long anyway, I suppose one or two mistakes isn't bad.

It has been ages since I started a discussion. I have several unresolved, so I have been giving best responses. I am just as happy reading your random thoughts as anyone elses'. I have been missing the notifications today. I have to put lots of thought into some other sites. I should just put them in here. I will buzz over to your profile to see what you have said today.

No I don't go into discussion spree...I just start a discussion when I feel it or when I feel a need for an answer to a certain question or thought I want or feel like discussing with others...I don't get annoyed when someone is filling my inbox with discussions but only if it something really discussable..If not it is really annoying for me to read a discussion which is not even something to discuss about.

Heh, I just start them when I feel like it too, which is pretty rarely, but yesterday was just my day, I guess. Eh, I get annoyed with the people who start a billion every single day sometimes, or the people who like you said started ones where there wasn't really anything to discuss. I get tired of the people who always have one-liner questions too.

I confess I go on sprees. It's not even on purpose but once I start one discussion something else comes to mind and then something else and so on :) I hope my friends don't mind when that happens because I know that it usually goes like that without me even thinking much about it :) Of course I guess they can always turn of the notifications too if it gets too much LOL I will certainly understand :):)

Lecan, if you have enough time to start a spree of discussions I've got an old one of yours that may kill some of that time of yours http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/1387027.aspx (Anime Music) I uploaded several more entries. Uh...unless you already looked that them .

I do and I do. I go on discussion starting sprees and I want to hear about all your random thoughts of the day. I love the way you write and your topics interest me 99.9% of the time. I read everything you post but there are some things I do not comment on because they are over my head. About once a week or so I will start 4 or 5 discussions right after the other. It takes me forever to go back and comment them all though. I should be doing that right now but I'm commenting yours

Hehe, thank you! I also don't always reply to my friend's discussions even though I read them. Sometimes I just don't have anything to say about a topic. Heh, it does take quite a while to do all the comments, and it does get tempting to respond to other people's discussions first. I'm trying to catch up today, since I'm not used to having so many discussions to comment on!

I tend to do a few over the course of an evening. The problem is that I have a wonderful idea, but get distracted by something else & have forgotten about my idea by the time I get back on track. So I start something else, and guess what? I remember my idea! And so it goes. Which partially explains why I'm on MyLot for longer than I ever intend to be and secondly explains why my discussions come all together. That happens when I get organised & leave a pen & paper somewhere to record my inspiration as it happens!

*giggles* I've done that before too, forgot what I was wanting to say and started something else, and then remembered my original idea later. I have a list of "someday" discussions in the back of my planner, mostly written while I was at work and therefore away from internet access. However, I only use them on the rare occasion that I feel like started a discussion but nothing new is coming to mind. Today it was mostly things that just happened to me, though one of the ones I really wanted input on hasn't gotten any responses yet. Ah well, such is life.

well, i don't usually post here as well... i prefer just to respond as whenever i start a discussion here, i don't receive many response... so i think it is just a waste of time for me to create one... anyway, i had created one today and i think that's all i am going to post today... hopefully, i will get a lot of response for that...

Aww, sorry to hear that you don't usually get many responses! I have pretty good luck with that, I think, most of the time. You know, I think I'm going to go check out your newest discussion.

I don't pay any attention how many discussions I start. If I get a idea in my head and think the people here will think it interesting than I just go ahead and post a discussion. I come here to find out who has started new discussions. I go to my friends list and look through that. There are only a few people that I have the notification checked. Although I will have to say some days I have posted more than a couple of discussions and as you say it seems like I'm hitting a discussion spree.

Heh, I think too much, that's all. I notice things like how many discussions I start, especially because starting a lot is so out of the norm for me. I find I'm using the notifications more and more lately, and just yesterday I went through and turned a few of my friends on. At the same time I was trying to pare down my list some, getting rid of some inactive people, because my friend's list is out of control!

Yes, I have noticed the many discussions you have started and that is unlike you..I just start a discussion if I think I have one that would be a good one..sometimes I am right and sometimes I am wrong, but I try..I average about 3-4 a day, so I don't over fill anyones in, and I do have one friend that does a lot, but it doesn't bother me too much, other than a lot of it is negative and with my life, the less negative the better..

Yup, pretty weird for me! And now I'm trying to catch up! You have a good point about the negativity issue. I have a feeling that sometimes people probably think that way about me, so I try to be positive as much as possible, though sometimes depending on what's going on in my life I'll wind up with negative posts.

I didn't mean negative in like what you post lecanis, you are posting some serious stuff, but you have serious problems and that isn't what I meant..Venting and ranting and telling others about your life, whether positive or negative, is how we get to know each other, it isn't bad.. What I was talking about is posting news articles about other people they don't even know and asks what my option is about what happened..I sometimes reply, but sometimes I don't because there is enough bad things that happen to me and people I know, let alone strangers.. So if you need to vent or update on your son, don't feel like it is something you shouldn't do, that is what friends are for, to lean on..

Your random thoughts for the day could be interesting. I havent really gone on discussion starting sprees as its so hard to find really good topics that have not already been discssed. as for notifications today i had a zillion and never did finish the rest of my emails today. Then too I got a late start as my computer gave me some major problems.

Apparently people find my random thoughts interesting, considering the responses I've gotten to my discussions. I'm so lucky! Usually most of my discussions have to do with things going on in my life, or something I saw that day, or discussed offline with someone and wanted a broader view on. Sorry to hear about your computer problems! I hope they get sorted out soon!
