A feature I would like to see on Mylot !!!

I don't know if anybody else has mentioned this idea before, but it's something I would like to see here on Mylot. I would like for there to be a way to either bookmark certain discussions or add them to like a favorites. There are quite a few times I find a discussion that interests me that I would like to respond to, but I want to give it a little thought before I do. Or I don't have time at the moment to respond to it and would like to save it for later when I have time. The problem is if you don't respond to it when you first see it then it's likely to be forgotten or get lost with all the other discussions. Also if there is a discussion that has some useful information that you want to save for reference later this would be nice. If there was a way to bookmark it within Mylot then it would make it easier for people to come back to a discussion later to add their 2 cents. It might also help people to post more quality responses then just simple one or two liners without much thought. I would personally like to see this and wondered what everyone else thinks about it. Who knows, maybe Mylot will notice and try to implement it! That would be great. Thanks for your input!

Yes that's a good idea, it could be another of the "sortie" boxes on our profiles. They seem to be into making changes at the moment so it's a good time to ask, they finally gave us smileys and people have been asking for them for ages.
At the moment I just use "discussions I have responded to" list to find discussions that interested me, but if you didn't have time to respond to the discussion when you first saw it that would be no good.

That would be nice to have it as a "sortie" box that you could add to your main page, so you would see it every time you log into Mylot to remind you. Especially on those days where there might not be anything new you want to respond to, you can go back to the discussions you saved. The 'discussions I have responded to' list is great for keeping tabs on what you've already responded to, but not much help with discussions you haven't yet responded to but want to. yap the idea is quite nice,even when i intend to respond to a discussion i usually lost the previous links and that annoys me now.The above stated idea should be considered by mylot :)

I'm doing good, thanks for asking. It is annoying loosing the links to discussions you might want to respond to. I am hoping Mylot will consider this idea. Thanks for your response!

I agree, that would be a great idea, sometimes I see a discussion, and want to give it a good thoughtful reply and if the times does not allow. I don't and it gets lost. I know that buy referring to my discussions I started and discussions I responded to. I can get to all my older discussions so I can reference back, but it would be nice actual do the ones I feel I do not have time for. A place to reference back would be great. Good idea, hope they hear about this idea.

hihi. jamie agrees! especially for newbies to this community, jamie is having problems tracking some of her earlier posts... also, there are way too many repeated threads being put up, hopefully myLot administrators can find a way to help clean things up. =)

Good idea
. this is one thing I like about getting the emails for if I find a good one I hold on to it till I can think it over I have also put them in my favs. to look at later another thought write down the person who wroteit then the addy to go back to later untill mylot puts it in here .

well has anyone in here thought of having the mylot organized into topic better? that way we can go directly to topics that can be interesting to us... sometimes the most replied to gets on top of the list of mylot so others are not given the same chance to be replied upon...

That would be nbice for alot of people but you could also save the discussion link to an email or you could add it to your favorites also. I am sure it would be alot easier to add it right at Mylot though.

Storm that is so strange. I was just on myLot a few hours ago and said this exact thing as a solution to a problem some people have here on myLot.

I think this would be a great idea! I personally enjoy going back to some of my favorite discussions and posting more of my thoughts, but it's not always easy to find them again. Maybe myLot could do this for say, someone who reaches a certain amount of posts. I've noticed that the more posts you do, the more privelages you have. My current goal is 200, and this will be my 199. I'm still trying to figure out if there is a special privelage I will be able to use once reaching that 200 mark. Being able to bookmark favorite sites would be a great feature for mylot.

great idea! why don't you forward it to mylot? make it for the attention of 'crash'. you never know. it would be an excellent adition to help us on mylot.
