Birthday

umm naw after they mid teen years like 15 or so i didnt care anymore , like after 10 the highlight of your b day gifts gets lackluster for some reason , i didnt even tend to care anymore , by that time i just want a check or cash in hand or a b-day card lol

Of course I will. They are the last persons I expect to forget my birthday. It happened to me on one of my birthdays. On that day, I did expect for a wake up greetings from my parents since they usually do that to all of us. But on that day, I woke up, hearing nothing from any inside the house. What I did was, eventhough im very awake, I did not got up from bed. Then, my friends went to our house that very morning, and it was my mom that they asked where i was. My mom asked what made them come that early, and they answered her laughing because they knew then that my parents forgot about my birthday. So my mom, and my friends went to my room, and woke me up (pretending to be sleep) and greeted me "happy birthday" and my mom said, oh! sorry, we forgot your birthday. And then, that afternoon, they prepared something for me and my friends. lol.

Yes, I would be hurt. I'm older now with children in their 20s. My boys rarely contact me for a special occasion or otherwise. Yes, it hurts.

This instance doesn't happen yet in my entire life. If it does, I will probably get hurt and make a big deal out of it. It is kind of sensitive for me, of course, your parents are the least people you expect to forgot your special day and if they forgot it, it is overly disappointing. Not unless, my parents are sick with something that affects or associated with their memory, other than that I'll get hurt.
