Changing child custody

My boyfriend and his ex-wife wants to change the custody of their 15 year old boy over to my boyfriend. She lives in Texas and my boyfriend is in Ohio. They both agree and so does the boy. Is there away that they can do this without a lawyer? They are looking for the cheapest way possible. There are reasons that they are doing this, schooling is better here and the community. Are there any websites that will help them understand the process of doing it? Thank you for your help!!
