Big News!! Scotland has moved

United States
March 16, 2008 11:00pm CST
For those of you who don't know, I am originally from Scotland, but moved away at the tender age of 19 (21 years ago...OUCH!!). Well, I was having a conversation with a lady at work the other day and she just happened to mention that Scotland was located just North of Canada. I was shocked as I hadn't realized that my birth nation had suffered a major case of continental drift and floated past Greenland.....can anyone explain how this happened?

I think its terrible that some people know so little about geography. It should be a required class in all schools. Its sad to know Scotland has moved according to this lady.

to make matters even worse, it really hurtb that none of my friends called to inform me of the move. What if I'd went on vacation...I'd have packed all the wrong clothes

ROFLMAO. I must have missed reading about that continental drift. I was too busy laughing at one of my daughter's COLLEGE classmates. Seems that when asked by a professor to speak about Alaska, she related that it was near Hawaii...a bit south and west of the 48 continental states. When the professor indicated that she was mistaken she quite adamently stated that she knew she was correct as she had seen the two states on many maps and they were in the bottom corner below the mainland.
