Today Show just showed the clip of the now infamous sermon "God Dam(n) America". Matt Lauer informed the viewers that the new pastor who has replaced pastor Wright was to have appeared this morning on the show. However last night he cancelled his scheduled appearance!!! No reason was given for this sudden cancellation why do you think he cancelled his appearance on the show???

Whiteheather, It's pretty much like the now retired pastor who made these statements taking an "extended" vacation and following that a sabatical! All I can say is if you can't stand the heat you need to get out of the kitchen! I really can't blame the guy, I wouldn't want to take the heat for what someone else said out of the pulpit I now preached from! Only time will tell if he shares the beliefs and misgivings of his predecessor. By the way, pastor Wright spewed hatred and demeaning comments about the "rich" white folks but did you see the house he lives in? I know it cost more than the one I live in!

Hi Honey He is probably ashamed to show his face or should be! When I was going to church and sunday school I was taught that to curse and use the Lord's name in vein was a sin. Has the christain religion changed. Isn't it still wrong to use GD.. I mean I realize people do it all the time but a minister? oxxoxoxoxoxoxo

Perhaps he is trying to take his church out of the political arena. Or his church board told him he could not appear on TV, even to clarify the church's position. It would be interesting to hear his opinion. In my opinion the church needs to stay out of politics. That was how I was raised. I always admired the pastors at my church. They did not tell us how to vote, but they did urge us to vote, as it is part of being a responsible citizen, both of the United States amd of God's kingdom. Of course I am only speculating about the new pastor of Obama's church. I guess I am giving him the benefit of he doubt.

I would think that now he has decided that he has replaced a bad preacher but I do think if he dont think the same way he should have got on the show!

i dont doubt that it was because the church was against it. they dont want to risk that he will say something that will make them look worse
