not only should prayer be taught in school but it wouldn't hurt also if a few bible principles were taught also ie treat others like you'd want to be treated...be patient ...compassionate...do not steal , lie cheat have respect for your parents...and the list goes on....

yes I do, and I think if parents have a problem with then then those kids should be sent outside while a prayer is going on

I honestly don't know what I think. I think children need to be raised with values and principles. I think children should be confident in carrying Bibles, praying amongst themselves, having religious groups with meetings in schools (all of which should be allowed, but often isn't because schools would rather go overboard keeping religion out to keep themselves 'safe'). I do not like how God is kept out of schools. That being said, I also do not think that public schools should require children to pray, at least to a specific diety, because there are those who do not believe in Christ. Of course I wish everyone wanted to pray to Christ, but truth be told this is America and we have the freedom to exercise the religion of our choosing, and some choose not to worship Christ. Making students grow up praying to in Christ's name is unfair to their parents who want them to grow up praying in a different manner. Like I said, I don't know what I think on this.

I think most definitely. It was removed when I was in 5th grade. I remember because my teacher use to read us the end half of one bible story and the beginning half of another each morning. All of a sudden it just stopped and she said she couldn't do it anymore. I think we need more prayer period though...not just in the schools. Again, jmo.

ABSOLUTELY!!!! Gathering in prayer is good for all those involved and it hurts to see people trying to take God out of schools and government. We need the Lord's peace more now than ever!
