How many licks does it take ? remember the wise old owl? he said it took 3 licks because after the third lick it was inevitable - he would bite down and get to that center.
Question:
Did you ever try to count the licks it took?
Did you ever succeed?
How far did you make it before you crunched?
I usually did not lick my lollies but I was more of a sucker er... I sucked on them
but I did try to count licks, I would usually loose count and end up biting the dern thing probably around 22 or so.

Oh I remember doing this! But would always give up. LOL I would suck on them until I got to the center.
It's funny my youngest had her first chocolate one the other day and didn't like it. I remember that was everyone's favorite when I was a kid. LOL

Oh this is a good one! I remember trying to succeed in licking my way to the center of a Tootsie Pop. I did manage to get further than the 3 licks that the old owl did. Can't remember how many though. Cute discussion. Brought back some memories.

Nope, never bothered to try counting licks, I just sucked that puppy for a while and then chomped down.
Always hated how it got stuck in your teeth, but boy, they were good!
