Philippines

There are lots of toothpaste brand out there from expensive to not so expensive, with different flavors etc etc. I already tried many brand like close up, colgate, cress and a lot more but my favorite is close up mint because it feels fresh after brushing your teeth. How about you what brand of toothpaste are you using? Please do share. Thanks in advance.

I like a really minty toothpaste...the brands mentioned are fine. Sometimes a cheap toothpaste can taste `salty`...which is really sickening when its in your mouth.

hi jhoana! i used to brush with colgate too but ever since my dentist recommended pyodontyl, i have been using it for a long time now even if its quite expensive. its good for my sensitive gums. and it doesn't have any other flavor, just plain, and its better that way because i don't have to think which to buy.

Before I'm also using pyodontyl but because it's very difficult to find that brand here I'm just using whichever good brand is available like crest or colgate but still I like close up . You are right pyodontyl is good for the gums.

I buy Crest Pro Health because it does everything that a toothpaste can do. When I saw their commercial and it telling all it does, it sold me right then and there and it does exactly what it says which is everything! lol

I dont have a specific brand for toothpaste as long as its contain whitening and double fluoride. Usually its price higher than the regular product, but its better since its whiten and double protection to teeth. For me, its not important what brand, all i need only how the product works to brush my teeth regularly so i can prevent gum disease, gingivitis, and plaque... Btw, just tips: when you brush your teeth, rinse your mouth once with enough water after brushing because the fluoride from the toothpaste will react with molecules of water and only small amount of fluoride ions will attach to the teeth surface. Ok... Have a nice day!

Hi manya_pearl I also used to believe that fluoride is best for the teeth... I got a comment from this discussion that really made me confused about the flouride thing. I'm looking forward to his comment... Anyway, thanks for the tip and for responding. Have a nice day!

Hi jhoana_joey! i am using colgate total w/ whitening... ^_^ coz, before buying i check if the toothpaste contain triclosan or not...if it does its cancerous and the risk gets higher if triclosan is combined with water...luckily colgate total w/whitening dont have triclosan as ingredient...

You are a wise buyer because you're checking out first if the product/products that you're buying have hazardous chemicals. Being cautious is great. Thanks for sharing. Have a nice day!

I use any whitening toothpaste, usually Crest. Once in a while I get a carving for Pepsodent- love the taste and it's what we used to use when I was growing up. I usually like a mint toothpaste, although once in a while I'll go for cinnamon.

I am currently enjoying Nature's Gate brand Creme de Anise all natural toothpaste - with baking soda and anise oil. I love the unique flavor and especially that it has none of the highly pushed toxin called Flouride in it.

Check it out at www.traderjoes.com you can check for location and you may be able to order through the internet! Otherwise, I would ask my favorite retailer to buy it and sell it to me! I was using Tom's Of Maine toothpaste, until I found out their toothpaste still has SLS in it! So I switched and my teeth still like the fresh feeling!

I am using Darlie Whitening in 14 days. Before I use this brand I have been switching brands because I am still searching for the right brand for me. But after I use Darlie I don't have to search around anymore because I feel very fresh after using it. My teeth are sparkling clean and there are no residues left on the surface of my teeth after rinsing my mouth. Many types of ordinary tooth paste have a kind of substance in their mixture and it leaves a thin layer of coarse and uncomfortable feeling on the surface of the teeth. My teeth doesn't feel totally clean either. With this brand I am using now, all the problems are now gone.

I have been using 'neem' toothpaste over the years. I do not like other brands like colgate etc. I find that though neem toothpaste has somewheat bitter taste, but otherwise it is good for our teeth. My kids do not like it...anyway...LOL!
