Has Anyone Had The Noro Virus?

Well I thought I was lucky or blessed or something. I honestly thought I had missed this virus. I remember the outbreak at Christmas hearing it on the news that it was going round the UK. Well it's now March so I thought wow I have missed having this virus. Then 2 days ago my little darling 2 year old girl starts being sick. It mainly affected her being sick. Then 12 hours later my husband starts being sick and having the runs. Then 12 hours later it starts for me 2 ends the same time. Sorry to be gross and that, but this virus is the pits and I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. Fortunately I am not being sick or the other anymore, but I haven't eaten for 2 days and I still feel sick and every so often I get a big kicking pain in my stomach. I feel completely washed out and weak like I have had the flu and my insides feel empty. My advice for anyone who has or gets this bug is stay in doors away from people until it has passed. Apparently you are contagious for 48 hours after the symptoms have gone. To avoid anyone else getting it, it is kinder for you to stay away from people. Honestly if you had this bug you would not want anyone else to get it, it is horrible. I would say it is worse than the flu and if you have had a bad bout of the flu then you know what I mean. You also need to keep everything as clean as possible. Change your toothbrush because the bug can stay on the toothbrush. Clean the toilet and bath, sink, etc. After the virus has gone clean all bedding and give a good general cleaning to the house. Clean your towels, face cloths, etc. The bug can stay in the house if you do not clean everything properly afterwards. Also just because you have good hygiene does not make you immune from this bug. This is air bound and if you go near to someone with this bug you can get it. So please if you have this bug stay away from people for at least 48 hours after the symptoms have gone. Also make sure if you are affected by this bug that you try to keep hydrated. At first it is impossible to drink even water, but once you can you have to try taking little sips to keep hydrated. If children are affected by it you can buy something called diahoralyte which helps with hydration getting your child to drink it is the problem because it tastes fowl even I hate drinking it. Even mixed with juice it tastes fowl. Also years ago they advised not to eat the new advise is to eat as soon as you can, but obviously you won't feel like eating lots. Just eat a little. Soup is good and toast. I honestly hope you haven't had this bug and I hope you do not get it. Anyone got any experiences about this bug or know anyone who has had it?

Is that still going around? I thought it had gone ages ago. I thought our town had been lucky because we had not had it. I know it was a bad one, yes diahoralyte is horrible, I have had to have it when I was pregnant once and the kids hate it but it is quite good, thats if you can get it to stay down! Well I hope you all get better soon and I just hope that it does not come here!

Hi thanks for replying yes I hope your Town doesn't get it either. I thought it had gone too, but unfortunately not. I wonder wether it is working it's way up North? Because we live in Lancashire and I think there was a big outbreak in London at first, but viruses probably don't work like that. I think actually this virus is present all the time, but you just hear about it when there is a massive outbreak.
