How often do you use your cellphone.

Most peolple over here can't live without a cellphone. And kids of the age of 9 are already starting to carry them around. Do you think it is safe for kids to have cellphones at an early age? Is it ok for anyone to be addicted to their cellphones?

It depends on my mood actually. Sometimes when I'm alone, I always wish that someone would call and I could talk to them . Sometimes, I want to be alone and wish that I had no phone. Some days ago I encountered a problem with my phone and it had been given for servicing. i didnt bother to borrow another cellphone from a friend and lived without a cellphone for 2 months or so. I tell you that was the most peaceful time in my life. No late night calls. No disturbance when I'm sleeping. No extra expenditure. Well, I liked it that way, but thats not the case now. bourne

I am addicted to my phone. I send at least 1000 texts a month and use most of my 200 minutes. It is never more than a metre or two away from me. I think it is good that children have phones, because they can ring home if they are in trouble, scared, lost or just to update their parents on where they are.

Well first, I can assure you I'm not one of those people - I mean, those who cant live without a phone. But I own one though and I find it very useful in my life... I believe there are risks in allowing very young kids in owning a mobile phone - especially now that mobile phones are equipped with so many multimedia features that are very capable of polluting young minds once it is used incorrectly... I guess special regulations should be implemented on this matter... As for your last question: I believe anything in excess is not good. Maybe being 'addicted' to your mobile phone would not give you any benefit.. Balance in things is still best...

Cell phones have been considered a necessity in our daily lifes, just like TV and Internet. I agree that kids as young as 9 or even 7 have cellphones. My kids, aged, 10, 11 and 13 do have cellphones, but cheap ones as to avoid the prying eyes of the thief. I also advise them not to show off their cellphones and use them only when necessary. I guess it is okay to be using the phones most of the time, as long as it does not disrupt your duties and responsibilities.

I can live without my cell phone just fine. I hardly ever use it. I send sms from the net, and I do not talk onthe phone much. But it is good to have when i am away from home for longer periods at the time. I do not think it is necessary for young kids to have a phone. They should play with their mates, not text them.

Its not good to be addicted to you cell phone - unless you have a head set for it because of radiation and that But there is a reason that young children are given cell phones - look at how dangerous the world is now. If they are in trouble they can call 911 or home. And if they ever go missing it also doubles as a tracking device.
