i know this has been asked by many and forgive me if i do ask again, just hard to read so much post in the past so i'd rather start my own. anyway, i love to watch movies and there wont be a day that i am not watching one on tv. to me it is my form of relaxation and i like to know different stories, be it old or new one. to answer my own question,,, i can watch "13 GOING ON 30" and "NEVER BEEN KISSED" over and over again and i will still have the same effect when i first saw it, i know this is just too cheezy, but heck i love it! there are some movies that i am not aware of so if you can only share yours it will be so great of you, maybe i havent seen it and because you said it is so good i would like to see it as well. i know each of us have our own reason for liking such story and i want to know why and hope to learn from it. thanks for sharing in advance. takecare

amongst lots of good movies, why do you only offer two movies? anyway, i will choose the godfather part one. it is never bored to watch the movie and to realize how genius is coppola in directing the movie. and you will never be bored to see brando's acting in the movie. the second movie is entrapment. it is really entertaining. connery and zeta jones live the movie very well.

have you watched the new batman? i have heard so many great news and reviews about it so i am looking forward to see it this weekend. last week the tickets are sold out so we didnt get a chance to see it but it is ok. i have heard some even pay twice to see it again so must be worth the repeat LOl do you like catherine? i think she is very pretty and i like her acting - very cute! yes, i like action and also drama movies (actually i always respect actors and actresses for their excellent performance, like jodie foster, judi dench, robert de niro, al pacino, marlon brando, gwyneth paltrow, jack nicholson...) well, till now i haven't watched the current batman. i haven't get time to rent the cd (sometime i am unbelievably lazy ) i like catherine, yes. she is so pretty; i think her smile is the most exotic smile in the world . and she played quite well in her movies.)

Two movies I could watch over n over again are ..... 1 - The Goonies 2 - The 13th Warrior.

The Goonies was one of my favourite films when i was growing up in the 80's. Like any other little boy I wanted to go on a mission like those in the film and find pirate ships and treasures......... The 13th warrior stars Antonio Banderas and is set a few 100 years ago. The "north" people were being plagued by flesh eaters and a proficy says 13 warriors had to go and fight. 12 viking type warriors voluntered but the 13th warrior had to be from somewhere else. that is when Antiono was chosen to go north and fight. I just really like the film, no special reasons for this one.

I think if I were to watch 2 movies over and over it would be "The Sound of Music" and "The Wizard of Oz". Those are movies that I grew up with and would watch them every year. There was a time that I did have a tape with them and I did watch them many times a week. They just made me feel good. I don't know why.

that's very true, i have learned that from watching peter pan, hahaha! kidding aside, it is sad to see most people wanting to grow up fast and when they finally reach that age they stay there and forgot the beauty of being young. i dont want to be like that, i love to live my life having those feelings of excitement, surprise and dream in my heart, it is such a wonderful feeling. it helps me feel good and i am very happy that my husband is the same, he is just like me most people think we are retards living like a kid (behaving and eating like one, hahaha) but i am not complaining i found life more exciting that way and i have never been happy in my life till i realize that i want to keep that kid in me. i feel you do the same and i congratulate you for finding the right path. takecare and keep up the spirit of peter pan, LOL

As a direct answer to your discussion I will nominate, "My Fair Lady" and "Ben Hur" for the Academy award in the category of "Films watched over and over again my me". I have little knowledge of the films that you have mentioned though I have heard about them. Both my films were made when you were in heaven. But they are a "Must See". I love the acting of Audrey Hepburn in My Fair Lady. The songs are wonderful. Then just see the action in Benhur. I can't imagine how they were done before computers were unheard of. Now lets deviate from your dicussion and make a long story even longer. I love James Bond movies. All of them number just over 20. Wow the action, you have tempted me to see one right now, but my son is studying and I won't switch on the TV. What about Ten Commandments, the camera trick where the sea is divided by God. Those days illusions had to be created manually working on 24 frames per second. From the modern times I have watched Superman movies many times. He was my childhood hero since the 1970s and I love to see him on screen. Same story with Batman too. I was not a Spiderman fan but I love his movies.

It's impossible for me to pick just two. I love so many different movies and, like my books, I love to re-watch them over and over. Some of my favorites would be Harry Potter, Arsenic and Old Lace, Blue Streak, Stephen King's movies and Disney movies. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

My Mom taught me to read when I was 4 and my books have always been precious to me. I have traveled the world over and visited others as well. I've lived in different time periods and seen the world through someone else's eyes. If I want to swim the oceans, solve a mystery, catch the bad guy, live in a haunted house, meet ghosts or visit Mars all I have to do is pick up a book and sink into it. Growing up I always had responsibilities, in my books I have none and I'm free to do whatever I want. I think teaching me to read was one of the greatest gifts my Mom could have given me. Alot of the movies I watch I also read the books. Harry Potter, Charlotte's Web, Stephen King and Perry Mason are just a few. I always love to read the books and then watch the movie to compare them. **AT PEACE WITHIN** ~~STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS~~

hello again, i couldnt agree more. what you stated is very much true and how i wish i have the same passion as what yyou and the others have when it comes to reading. i love how you describe me the beauty and the essence of reading, it sure is something. i am happy that you see the virtue of what you mom taught you when you are a kid. my hobby is to paint (other art forms) or do write poems or short stories and that makes me feel free and ME whenever i am doing it and i guess yours is reading (duh!) btw, i love charlotte's web - just the movie version though. it is a wonderful movie and i enjoy the value of it. have a good one!

hello twoey68, great to see you here! oh, so you like to read ei? i dont coz it bores me so much i admire people like you who have the patience and the love for reading. i wish i am the same way but boy it is way too hard haha. i have never heard more so see the movie Arsenic and Old Lace and Blue Streak. i know some King's movie and tv series and i have to say that i love almost everything Disney haha. have you watch WALL-E? i love that movie and i enjoy it a lot. i think one of the reason why i enjoy disney movies and show is that they always give a lesson in the end. i am a kid at heart i guess LOL. anyway, pleasure to hear your choices. have a good one!

Hi Jairgirl, came upon this by chance. It's an old topic but nevertheless. Here's my short list of two movies that i feel i could watch over and over again (of course, have to give it some time after watching them for the second time). Maybe say, two years later, haha. "Totoro", the animated movie by Studio Ghibli would be one. It's a children's movie, but it somehow is quite charming to adults too. Or maybe it's just me. The reason could be the settings in a rural area with trees and idyllic rice fields. Then, there is the way of life which we city-dwelling people will never find in the city. There's something very peaceful and romantic in the rural daily life that i find appealing. Watching that movie somehow transport me to another time which has gone by and will never come again. Actually, all of Studio Ghibli's animated film has this kind of charming quality to them. "The Shawshank Redemption" is a stark contrast to the former. It depicts life in prison. In fact, the whole movie is based inside a prison. Lest you think it's a depressing film, it is not. The story is not so much about prison life but more of the friendship between two human beings and the recurring message of hope in it. And the acting of the two leads are, in one word, outstanding. Well, there it goes. Have a good day.

My number one film of all time would be the Lord of the Rings Trilogy. I know it's three films, but it is all one story. I never get tired of it, but it is rather a long session if you watch the extended DVDs back to back! I believe my second choice is going to be Mamma Mia. I went to the cinema twice last month to see it. I will be buying it on DVD and I am sure I will not get tired of it. It is just such a great feel good film.

hello icequeen! sorry for my delay, been really anxious and busy at the same time lately. anyway, i love LOTR myself but like you it is quite a long movie to watch so i just watch it whenever it is on on HBO haha. do you like musical show/movie? i have heard that a lot of musical lover shows enjoy mama mia but there are those who bores it. i havent seen it yet because i am not a big fan of musical show except if its live in theater, but i might see it online and see how i like it. i love that song when i was a kid because my mom is a huge abba fan so it is one of the first song i learned to sing when i was 3 years old haha. btw, have you watched moulan rouge? i have a friend who loves that movie, he told me he is not a musical kind of guy but that is the only movie that he can watch over and over again. i have not seen it as well but might see it one of these days specially now that i need to take a lot of rest. anyway, appreciate the post. have a great weekend. takecare

Yes I have seen Moulin Rouge, and I enjoyed it. I'm sure you will too. I think people will either love or hate Mamma Mia. My friend came to the cinema with us and she is not an Abba fan, but she loved the movie. I hope you enjoy it when you get to see it.

Oh, with all the feel good movies so far, I recommend you to watch 50 First Dates. That's with Drew Barrymore. I love her. She is a really good actress. With love stories, I may say you watch The Notebook, A Walk To Remember and Forever Young. They are all very romantic movies. It will make you cry as well. I watch this movies over and over again and still it has the same effect to me. I get to cry from almost start to finish. For fun movies, I recommend Legally Blonde 1 and 2. I love Reese Witherspoon, she plays her role pretty good. I memorized some of the lines in this movie already. So fun. I hope you get to watch the movies I listed. Enjoy girl. Hope you like it.
