Well, between PlayStation 2 and the X-Box' controllers, which do you prefer and why?I have considered these two consoles since most of the games available could either be played in these two consoles. I have played games on the PlayStation 2 as well as on the X-Box and I must say, some games do work well on some controllers while some just don't work well for me. How about you gamers out there or those that have played on either conosles? Which do you prefer and why? What games have you played which influences your choice?

I used to own both ps2 and xbox and I personally thought the ps2 was the better looking/better performing/had a better controller of the 2.... As for games, on the ps2 I used to love the Gran Tourismo series and on the xbox I used to like Project Gotham Racing. It is good that microsoft brought out the xbox to challenge sony as it makes for better systems for us gamers and now we reap the benefits with the ps3 and xbox 360.

So which between the two controllers among the two gaming platforms do you prefer more?

As stated the ps2 had the better controller imo as it is smaller (I have small hands), visually more appealing and better layed out.

Personally I prefer the playstation though Xbox itself isn't a bad gaming station I have got used to the Playstation controllers over a number of years and just feel that the Xbox controllers are too bulky Played Halo on the Xbox, Prince of Persia etc but just prefer what I am used to

So it seems your more at ease with the PlayStation Controller than that of the X-Box' Perhaps you have also played games in the previous console that came first before the PlayStation 2 which would amplify the preference of choosing such a controller?

yep had and still have a playstation one as well with the even smaller controller, but it was set out in same way as PS2 controller

I also prefer PS2 for game availability, and affordability, yet, I can't ignore the ease and comfort that my hands get when I use the X-Box Controller (the S Controller).

I see.. I always preferred steering wheels for racing games.. So, it depends on what game for you to distinguish what controller goes best. Thanks for responding!

im somewhat of an outcast to most of my friends because while they are fighting for the small xbox controllers im more than happy, actually prefer, the larger ones, i just really really like the big fat xbox controllers i like the way they are layed out and the way they fit in your hand

X-Box Controllers - These are the X-Box Controllers. The big one was the first while the smaller version came later one. The changes aside from size can also be distinguished from the button lay out compared to the first controller wherein the black and white buttons are fairly moved closer or reach and the initial four coloured buttons are now layed out in a cross-like way, symmetrical with the directional buttons on the other side
I too found it comfortable also comfortable when I played Halo or any other FPS game in the X-Box console. Then, when the games changed, like fighting, I simply had to get a joystick controller I guess if the game doesn't need so much action like fighting games, I can still go back with the large (crab-like) controller of the X-Box when it comes to the X-Box console
