Apples schmapples

I see a few new names of apples coming out and I've tried a few. Apples are one of my favorite fruits, so I'm willing to try most anything that comes out.
I love Fuji and Gala apples. They are sweet and juicy and all around perfect to me.
What are your favorites?
Do you have a special recipe for something made with apples?

Gala, Braeburn (one of those two has a grainier meat and I don't like it as much but I can never remember which one until I get home and eat one...I should take notes on it), Pink Ladies. I also like the plain old Red Delicious variety.

I like Granny Smith and usually have an apple in my fruit bowl. Sorry no special recipe, as I eat one while out walking. Its a great way to make the walk more enjoyable.

I don't seem to know all the types of apples by name, I just buy whatever I like or is on sale. I really love Gala, but I also like Granny Smith, Golden Delicious, Rome, and many others. Some are a little too expensive for me, like Pink Lady. I'm so glad that my store has a variety of fruit to choose from.
