A hamster can live even without giving too much attention. For me I just feed my hamster with an appropriate feeds for them. I choose a feeds which has a complete nutrients needed by their body like carbohydrates and protein. Sometimes I give them sunflower seeds. I put water always beside them to avoid dehydration. Everytime I clean their cage I am very sensitive with the detergent I am using . I make sure that I wash it thouroughly to avoid poisoning. I let them exercise by letting them play in their wheels. I put scraped wood in their cage to absorbs their wastes. Actually hamster know how to organize the things in their cage and they also know how to stocks their foods. So for me raising an hamster is very easy . Just make sure to buy a healthy and active hamster.

Well hamsters are really easy to take care. Just make sure you buy some hamster food, and fill up the water bottle with clean water, and viola, you are done. Remember you cannot shower the hamster with water, but instead you can give it a sand bath. You can buy the bathing sand. My hamster is really of low maintainence. 3 years, and he's still alive!

Hamsters - I have three hamsters at home. This is how I take care of them.

1. Change the drinking water daily.

2. Feed them twice daily with dry hamster food. I give them veggie ( carrot, long bean or corn) twice a week.

3. Bath them once a week with hamster sand bath. This can be bought in the pet shop.

4. Change the wood flakes every week and wash the cage weekly.

Sometime I feed them with a small piece of bread soak in milk.

Hope this help.
