Well today the city crew came to my house for a schedulded service of my water meter. I had to read the meter in the basement every 3 months then send it via snail mail or through their website as to how much water was used by me. Now this service call was to install a new electronically read meter. A vehicle will drive by the house and electronically read the meter without setting foot outside the vehicle via radio waves. It makes it easier for homeowners and it also makes for a more accurate reading as well. Do you have the newest gadget installed for the water meter reading? If not do you know if it is available in your area yet? You could call your city and ask if they have it. I just found out about this by reading the city's website and newsletter. It's been around for a couple years but they never really advertized it as such. Now they hope to have all houses and bussinesses have them installed within a few years time. We have spring water. The water is supplied by the landlord. There isn't a meter to monitor our usage. I am thankful for that.

I would love to have a spring water well. I do have a city park in Minneapolis where we can pump our own spring water into jugs etc. I have done this in the past and love it whens it's fresh and ice cold right from the well. HAPPY POSTINGS FROM GRANDPA BOB !!~
