Easter Fire

Are you guys still having a Easter Fire before Easter Sunday? We just had it at the beach. We have had this tradition ever since I was small. How about you guys?

Never heard of Easter Fire. So No we don't have it before Easter Sunday. Is it like a bonfire? Must just be for people who live near a beach. What do you do at an Easter fire?

I think its a european thing, or German for that instance. The Saturday night before Easter Sunday is being celebrated with a great bonfire. In Germany they would have assigned places for the public ones and this is the only time in the year where they allow bonfires everywhere. I dont really know where this tradition came from..

absolutely! For us it is a midnight Mass 12 am Easter Morning - we satrt out in the Church, all is dark - we go outside to the huge bonfire and light candles with its flames - and listen to the Bishop's sermon.
