Commercials that make you cry...

If anyone wants me to just start crying instantly all they have to do is put on an animal abuse commercial. In all complete and total honesty I cannot watch those commercials. Put commercials on about abused people, poor people, children with diseases... I can handle it like it's nothing. But the moment you talk about animal abuse, the tears start streaming. There is this 2 minute ASPCA... PSA of sorts that I see all the time on TV. I have to change the channel the moment it comes on so I don't cry. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iu_JqNdp2As That's the ASPCA commercial. So for me, animal abuse commercials make me cry. Are there any commercials/psa's that make you cry? Autism, St. Jude's, Drug abuse, The trailer for 10,000 B.C.?

Oh I know! and my cat would be so mad if I had so many other cats! He's a one person kind of cat..so he wouldn't be too keen on his one person having two cats! I actually donate to three animal things. I refuse to ever donate to people things.... but I don't hesitate to animals!

It took me 10 second to cry. I can not watch those commercials. The reason that it makes us cry is that we love animals. They are depending on us. We are responsible for dogs and cats overpopulation, abuse etc....very sad... I always feel bad that I can not adopt them all...

Well I don't think that people who don't cry don't care about animals. So I don't think that's the reason we cry. It doesn't even take me 10 seconds to cry. Even though I change it within seconds of it coming on, I still get teary. It's ridiculous. and that was just an example. There are tons of animals stuff out there I can't watch.

I can cry watching cartoons (like Disney Bambi) I didn't say that people who don't cry, don't care. It is probably deeper that we think. We also cry, because there is not much single person can do about it. I volunteer in the shelter with wet eye. I am happy to hide it behind my camera.

I am the same way with those commercials. There is something about seeing abused and suffering animals that really gets to me. They always seem to use the most pitiful dogs and cats too. It breaks my heart and I never fail to tear up if I don't turn the channel. I've always been a big softy for animals anyway. It's not that the commercials with sick children don't get to me, but I know in the back of my mind that those kids honestly have more inner strength to deal with their health than I would. Kids are tougher than what people give them credit for. Animals can't tell their owners to stop hurting them or tell them what hurts them. The one thing that really burns me up about knowing a pet has been abused is that animal will continue to love their master regardless of what has been done to them. Animals truly have unconditional love.

The kid commercials don't bother me at all. I can watch those St. Jude's commercials or kids in third world countries like it's nothing. Oh and that tampax commercials about those girls in whatever country who can't go to school on their period...that commercial bugs the heck out of me. Why can't they go to school? I don't get it! But the animal commercials kill me. I can't even watch tv shows about that sort of stuff. Even if it's not real... like a CSI episode about dog fighting or something. I can't even watch that. I think you've got it right. Your puppy just wants your love and if he doesn't get it, there's nothing for him to do. But your kid wants your love and can't get it... kids have other ways to deal with it. Plus there are soooo many people out there helping kids. I think people give up their animals more often than they give up their kids.

I cannot look at your link sorry, because I know that I would cry too! I cannot watch the commercials to do with abandoned and abused animals, its heartbreaking. Then we have the ones for abused children too and they are even worse. I either look away, go out of the room or turn over.

It's not my link. and I wasn't asking anyone to look at it. So no reason to be sorry.

When I was on certain medications (which I'm no longer on thank God), I used to cry at Hallmark commercials or commercials for sad movies. I'm not much of a crier in real life, but this medicine obviously made me oversensitive. The commercial that gets me now is a very sweet commercial with a little boy and his father talking over the computer and eating oreos. I imagine that the father is in Japan or somewhere far away because he's saying goodnight to his son while the kid is saying goodmorning to him.
