Have some patience hun, the money will come. Just aim for 3-4 lines minimum per post, the longer the better, and just keep going. You are more than half way to getting your star and that makes a big difference in how people are viewed here. Reputation isn't always accurate but people do look at it. Newbies usually do have a rough start just because we're all kind of hanging back waiting to see if you have sticking power before we invest a lot of time in you. But you're almost there and you'll get more attention and friends and you'll see an increase in your earnings. I'm closing in on a total of $200 since joining so it really will add up eventually! What does "getting your star" mean? Is that the star above everyones picture that has the number up to 10 in it? I was wondering what that thing was! haha. Thanks for the advice, I'm still learning and I still don't know what everything means? Like what is the hotmail thing about? I tried figuring it out but when I addedm my hotmail account it didn't do anything?

You get a the star when you reach 100 posts...right now you're at 76 so not much longer. It's basically your reputation...how other users have rated your posts, the higher the better, it's not fool proof though so even good users can have low stars if they cross the wrong user but it's a pretty good indicator usually.
I don't know what you mean about the hotmail part. You need to have your paypal address listed to get paid but that's the only place I've ever needed to put in an address.

Well I am kind of new but I can tell you what I think. I think you need to write posts that have a lot of description. Post a lot and start discussions. I don't know how long you have been here, but for me it has gotten easier. I have made $1.69. I am happy with that. Also discussions that you start, respond to the people that responded to you. These are just my thoughts but don't take my word for it because I am kind of new here so.

well i can see that you are new here. as you get more into it you will see you are making more money. if you really want to make money here then you need to find people to join under you. this is a great site. you won't be able to pay your rent, but you will make some pocket change

Hello karma118,
Higher earnings directly depend on two things, in my opinion and that I have observed:
1. Your response should be at least three lines length for mylto to consider paying you for your response. However, mylot doesn't pay per post. It pays for overall content that you have posted. So, your contributions should be descriptive i.e. as explanatory as possible to get higher rate per post.
2. The quality of post should be good, unfortunately, her equality means how well you are rated by other mylot users. So, if you are rated well, then your earnings will be slightly higher than if you are rated low.
But, the main factor is still the total content of your posts and responses! Best of luck!:-)
