Delete your junk mail like I do, I just quickly scan through my junk emails and delete the ones I don't want to read. I once got back from vacation which lasted a month and I had 502 junk emails and 705 regular emails. I got about 70 contacts and I subscribe to everything on it.

Wow, that is alot of mail for one month. I find it to be a waste of time to have to peruse these useless junk emails. I was hoping for a solution or some way to block them so that I don't have to even look at them. Thanks for the reply.

Yes extremely tired! The problem isn't when they land on my spam folder, those I can simply delete or ignore. The problem is when they hit my inbox, so annoying! unfortunately I haven't figured out how to avoid it. :( Sorry just wanted to vent. Hopefully we find a poster with a real solution.

We all know that there are numerous claims about how to avoid spam, but the sad fact is that there is very little that can be done about it. If you take too many precautions to avoid junk mail then you will risk blocking genuine mail from friends and colleagues. I have a few friends who often change their email address, and we all know that people do change their ISP which results in a new email address, so blocking all mail except from contacts is not practical.

Which email provide do you use? I use yahoo and I get so much junnk mail, I get about 5 or so directly in my inbox. Then about 100 or more in my spam folder. I have had the same email since 1998 via yahoo. My friends says I should cancel it and get another one, but I don't want to. The spammers should be punished! And the people that buy from the spammers should be punished, too! Pablo

Go through your email and label your junk mail as junk mail so that it goes into your junk folder. Also check the emails to see if there is a link to unsubscribe. If you sign up to any stuff that is likely to send you junk then send it to a separate email address, which I call my "junk address".

No offense but if you get 3 to 6 junk emails a day, get over it. I have had my email address long enough I get upwards of that many a minute 24 hours a day. Use some sort of program with a spam filter and live with it, I have probably got 3 to 4 times as many writing this as you got in the last couple of days.
