Do you still worry about what others think of you?

As an adult, are you often still worrying about what others think of you? Things like, Am I fat? or I'm ugly, or Wow! Their home is SO much bigger than mine? Do you still agonize about the person you passed on the street (that you don't even know!) regarding their opinion of you? Does it keep you up at night? How would you suggest that someone get over it?

Hello, scorpio! Honestly speaking I have not bothered what people say of me or what impression they have.i don't mind for such petty, silly things.i am what i am.neither i am rich nor am i gifted with a white skin, but everything is gifted by God.if some body commented on me it will mean to God and He will take care of me.so I never react to such remarks or comments.forgive and forget is the right solution.thank you.

A former coworker of mine said something that got me thinking: We are all God's children and if He removed our skin, we'd all look exactly the same inside. I believe that and have friends of all races and religions--I also believe that we should be friendly and share our best feature (our smile) first with others--you'd be surprised how far one goes!

Honest.... I don't care what people think I am who I am and there is nothing that can change that only I can.. It's almost like so what if i have an older truck lol at least mine runs and isn't in the shop all the time... So what if I am not rich, Money don't bring me happiness.. So what if you have more children than me, Right now I just only want one.. So what if your jeans were 200.00 my was a wal-mart special 19.99 lol I'm comfy in them... Everyone is different and everyone is going to think so other than what the other person is.. Is basically what I am trying to say.. Not that this is toward anyone here it was actually thinking to myself but out loud.. Like I've said I am who I am and I am ok with that...

I know what you mean...I'm proud of my 'bargain' jeans--heck, if I bought them for $5 at the thrift store and someone else buys jeans for $200 at the department store, it just proves to me who spent their money more wisely (me! ) I love my older home--so what if it's on the railroad tracks--I've got some really fantastic neighbors! It may need work, but I'd rather be the one to decide on the decor, rather than be forced to go along the landlord! Thanks for your response!

No, I pay no heed to petty remarks from single-minded people. As long as I am happy with who I am, then the rest of the World's population can go to heck! I know who I am inside, and if they don't care to find out, but judge you from the outside, then sobeit. Material gains matter not to me either... they're of no consequence at all. Money and material possessions hold nothing to compare with self-worth, honesty, trust, loyalty and love. Put together with the gift of Nature, that's all I need in life. Brightest Blessings.

Someone told me something last year that really struck a chord with me, and as a result, I don't worry about that stuff anymore. Basically, if someone says something nasty or sarcastic to me, that person is JEALOUS of ME! And I just shrug it off since I don't want to deal with them anyway! You're right--material stuff doesn't matter if you love yourself! Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day!
