Ah~~nope. I am still quite new and haven't start many discussion. Worse still, I have been too busy to visit mylot lately. At this point, I quite agree with you. It is better for me to be fair. I do not easily pick up a best response. So far, one of the myloters had been so kind to me that she picked mine to be the best response. I am quite happy with that. By the way, a best response means what? Thank you for your answer in advance:)

No, not really! No one ever wrote to me in her/his post or otherwise, stating that his/her response should be rated as the Best Response.
On the other hand, whenver I decide any response to be rated as the Best Response, the respondent says to me that there were other very good responses, so other responses should have been rated as the Best Response (any one of them).

I used to mark best response quickly but now I wait sometimes months. Some discussions do not get many responses right away and then a while later they get a lot of responses. Sometimes I will spend an entire afternoon just looking at old discussions and marking best responses.

I don't remember anybody asking me for the best response, I don't think anybody actually asked. Someone once said that they were expecting best response but immediately said that it was a joke. So, No, no body has ever asked!
You are so right, youless, one should be fair in giving best response as much as possible. I try my best to follow this policy. Of course, there could be error of judgment, we are humans! We should try our best though!:-)

Hello dear youless. I am glad that you are lucky that no one has ever asked you for a best response till you have waited some time to see which one is more competitive. It is the same with me. It is always better for me to be patient to wait and read a best response before it is given. Keep up your nice work, dear youless.

Hello dear youless. It is because I was having a rest during the four days, not today when I am starting to work again. My posts can increase fast only on my days off, not on my days on. I am sure that I will be as slow as a snail again in the next ten days. I am glad to see you always marching forward with a big step. Keep up, youless.

No one has ever asked for a best response, I don't think anyone is cheeky enough to ask, I mean that is a bit rude isn't it? I think that is up to the person who has started the discussion and not be asked for it. I am always fair with my best responses and they DON'T automatically go to friends, I have been known to award best response to a newbie before!

I have as of yet never had anyone request a best response from me. I too find it most difficult to choose a best response and I am afraid I am not very good at it. I am very far behind but am trying to mark several a week - I figure if I can mark as many as the number of discussions I have started that week plus a few extra I will eventually catch up.

I have not had anybody ever ask me for best response to a discussion before. If someone were to ask me for best response I would make sure that person did not get it on that particular discussion just because they were rude enough to ask for it.

Nobody ever asked me for a best respond and i don't think i could choose one. If i had to choose one i would take me a while.
I never got a best respond but i'm just getting started so maybe i'll get one in the future, and if i don't it won't matter because i will keep on responding to the discussion i like.

Not yet, but strange things do happen. I take a long time deciding, too, but will get to it eventually. Usually, though, my best response goes to one of the earlier responses, even if a magnificent one is given later. Several times I have had people say that they thought someone else should have gotten best response, as they thought the other person's remarks were better. Oh, well, we cannot please everyone.

No, I have never asked anyone for a best response nor have I ever been asked for one.
If I was I think I would be less likely to give it to them.
I hope I nevre run into this problem. I don't know what I would say to them.
I wait to award my best response as well. There have been a couple of times that I really wish I could give it to more than one person.

No, i have't received any request from others who ask me about the best response.But i have done some best response to others who respond to me . But now ,i don't do that ,cause i think that it is unfair to others who respond to my discussion .And i will rate the + to every response:)
