are you an art lover? do you admire the masterpieces of the great artists of long ago and today? particularly, do you love paintings? if you do (or even if you don't) can you tell at first glance whether the painting you are viewing is a sunrise or a sunset? remember, you do not know the title nor description of the artwork.

I am an art lover but I can't really spot the difference of sunrise to sunset in most paintings. Could it be the fault of the painter or my eye's defect. Nevertheless, it does not really matter, whether it is sunrise or sunset I love both and find them not only piece of art but real masterpieces by the Lord up above.

I totally agree with you salonga that both sunrise and sunset are "real masterpieces by the Lord up above.". He is the real painter and each day that He gives us inspire artists to interpret His handiwork through their beautiful artworks of sunrises and sunsets. Thanks a lot for responding to my post. May you be blessed with a wonderful day or night.

Yes I think I can. Usualy the first impression is the right one. There is a big difference between the colors of sunrise and sunset. I think that usualy the surise colore are colder than the sunset colors.

Thank you so much miryana for your response! Now, i am enlightened. I really have not noticed it before ( I thought I have a discerning eye. How wrong I was.) Sunrise colors may indeed be cold maybe because the light has just penetrated through the chilly night that has just ended whereas sunset colors are warm because the of the hot day that is about to close. Thanks again and may goodness and joy surround your nights and days.

I am not particularly fascinated with paintings. I love art, maybe in other forms but not so much about paintings - and yes, i am not one of the people who can interpret and see the "inner" meaning of a painting, let alone feel the emotions of the painter. Maybe i can only see what is the obvious, but never the deeper meaning.

Hello chiyosan! thank you for your response to my post. it took me years to write back maybe because I was becoming plain lazy or could not gather my thoughts or cannot think of an appropriate answer. I must also confess that I have not been into mylot a lot because like most internet users, i got hooked into facebook. It is really refreshing to get back to mylot and I am truly happy I am writing again. Regarding your response, I am also like you most of the time when I look at paintings especially those with vibrant colors and my eyes look for a long time at paintings that make me feel good. Thank you again and stay nice and beautiful. :)

Hello goodtimegirl! I am an art lover too and do paintings when school is out. It is very difficult to tell if it sunrise or sunset but however if there are other objects or activity in that painting it gives a clue but it is really, hard to decide. The world is a strange place it has all the patterns night and day and we enjoy the moments we appreciate on it. Thanks for posting.

I thank you more fujisaki61 for responding to my post. Sorry it took me long to write back. What I like most about in your response is "The world is a strange place it has all the patterns night and day and we enjoy the moments we appreciate on it." So very true my friend, and may I add that as far as I am know, the patterns do not repeat each day. Each day we experience a new beauty that we humans could truly appreciate. Enjoy your day, or night. ;)
