Ok now this certainly does take the Biscuit with my little Fellow I am sitting here typing away, Gissi is sitting nice next to me wanting my attention, I stop typing and I play with him for a while, he walks away which is a case 'Right Mum that's enough now' so I come back on here I am back here 5 minutes and Gissi again sits nice, so again I get on the Floor with him and he walks away A few Minutes later he is here again, I ignore him, he bounces of my leg, I ignore him, he sits nice and gently growls at me, so I tell him that I am not getting on the floor again for him to walk away and carry on typing, he then walks over to the Windows behind the Settee, my Curtains go to the ground, I take no notice till he comes out and kicks his back legs which is normally what he does when he ha a Poo I go and check and it first I see nothing, no smell no nothing, then I happen to glance at the Curtain, he has only gone and pee'd on the Curtain, and no he did not need to go out as he had just been, I ask what he did and of course he growls at me which is his admittance to having done it, oh yes Gissi will always admit he has done it, even when he has put a Paw Mark on my Cushions, all I have to say is what is this, point at it and he will growl. I know he has a bit of a Water problem but you could tell he had squeezed it out, he then sat and wagged his Tail and looked at me all cute, I could not be mad at him I just couldn't it is impossible This was his way of getting back at me for ignoring him and not playing his silly little Game, of get Mum on the Floor and then walk away He is such a lovely little Fellow, that my Dog Gissi for you he certainly gets a message through

I just went to Yuwie and read your blog there and then checked my inbox and see your discussion here. Pets will do anything to get our attention, they are like children when we are on the phone, they immediately need our attention as soon as the phone rings and they think they don't have our undivided attention.

Oh my gabs, Gissi really is the silly little monkey...and isn't it amazing how our babies find the means to get our attention, no matter what? Every once in awhile Kissy feels neglected (yeah, poor thing..really deprived), so here I am in front of the computer and all of a sudden I feel a paw on my thigh...look down and there's Kissy, so of COURSE, I have to stop everything and talk to her and pet her...she can't jump up in my lap, as she's well....a bit rotund?? After a few minutes of petting her and talking to her I resume my work on the computer...but it's not enough apparently as I'll feel that paw on my thigh again--so have to stop everything again--this goes on for about an hour.. I once had a bird that had her own way of getting attention. Yes, at the time we did have cats, but SHE was the boss and she loved being fussed over. Well, when she felt she wasn't getting enough attention, she'd purposely fall off her perch ...So of course I'd come running over and ask her "Are you all right Cheeky?" (Of course she was)---

I not only get a paw from Tigger, but if I still ignore him, he will jump up on the desk and plant himself right on my mouse hand so I can't move it. He won't leave till he thinks he's had enough mommy time with me which usually lasts round 10min. Simba will just jump up on the desk and paw my shirt indicating he wants to snuggle under my shirt for a nap. He prefers warm places to sleep and hubby put him under his shirt when he was lil. That one time is all it took so now it's either under our shirts or the blanket on top of us if we have it on us.

Thank goodness he's a small dog Gabs. lol When I left my first husband I lived with a girlfriend for awhile who had a huge and absolutely beautiful show dog. She was a boxer and I really thought she liked me. Then one day I passed her coming out of my room. She had her head held high - almost snotty like, and I didn't really think much of it until I saw the 'present' (as my girlfriend called it) in the center of my bed. Boxer's can poop BIG poops, let me tell you. Several days later, same 'present' in the middle of my bed. Finally four comforters later and no patience I asked my girlfriend to start paying attention to her dog and taking her out when she needed to go. A big fight ensued and I ended calling the vet to see what else could be done. I really really wanted that dog constipated! lol Well the vet told me that the dog was 'acting out'. She resented my presence in the house and this was her way of showing it. So my girlfriend got an ultimatum. Me or the dog. The dog won. *sigh*

Oh no Spark that is terrible I know that the big Dogs have massive Poops and I would not have been impressed Really the Friend should have made sure that the Dog did not go into your Room as I would have done that But yes this was Gissi's way of getting my attention which of course he got lol

My girlfriend was not impressed when I moved out. I understand our attachments to our animals, but there are some times when if they are going to act like children, they need to be disciplined like children. I love my dog, but she would never be allowed to get away with the kind of behaviour my girlfriend let hers get a way with. Frankly, I think she was just scared of that animal and the animal knew it. lol

You won't see wolfie weeing on the curtain so that didn't come from me, so once again I am innocent and no I didn't put that idea into his head, honest! But I like his style, it's like he's saying right you won't play with me then I will let you know I am disgruntled, he he he! You can't get mad at him 10 out of 10 for cheekiness and that's my Gissi xxx

Oh Gabs how could you accuse Gissi of peeing on the curtain, somehow I just cant believe that sweet sweet darling could do such a thing. I guess he was seriously wanting your attention. Moms little Jackal kind of does this thing at bed time. He whines to get up in bed with her and when she reaches down to pick him up he dances away from her until she just get frusterated with him. And tells him to forget getting up , then he decides she isn't playing and goes to get put in the bed .He is a very little dude just about a pound and a half.

Awwwwwwwww that is so sweet lol Gissi can actually jump on the bed so that is no problem unless he decides to pretend that he can't he then puts his 2 Paws on the bed and looks me in the Face lol for me to pick him up

That is too funny! Sherlock is at my feet right now, but every now and then I hear a whine and he is looking up at me begging me to take him for a walk. Well, after this weekend I won't go out after dark. So he runs around the couch like a race car driver and then comes to a stop and stares at me. This morning I sneezed and he bit my nose. He really has a problem with my sneezes.

That's so funny! He was definitely letting you know he wasn't happy and that you weren't going to get away with ignoring him. I've heard of cats doing things like that more than dogs so while I've been told I have a "dog cat" in my Squirt I think you have a "cat dog" in your Gissi. My Squirt and Sissy are quite proud of him, by the way. Annie

lol That cute lil Gissi sure comes up with some creative games to get your attention. Least he wasn't barking at you the whole time or nudging your arm so it goes flying thru the air. Dom likes to sit and shove his nose under my wrist. The longer I ignore him, the more insistent his nudges get.

What a gorgeous little dog you have, hes a real cutie! Love the name too. Oh they are just like children though when they think they are not getting enough attention!! The fact that he sits looking at you as if butter would not melt in his mouth just reminds me of how my daughter looks at me when she has done something! Really cute.

Your Gissi and my Pepi have the same (spoiled) mischievous nature. Pepi has developed a new way to get my attention. If I am on the computer and he has exhausted all his usual attention getting ploys and I still ignore him his latest trick is to jump on the back of the couch, sit right behind me and pop me on the top of my head with his paw. If that does not get the expected result he then uses both front paws and scratches my head as if he is digging a hole in the yard...... now that does get my attention as it hurts and pulls my hair!! Little devil!!
