I sometimes have a hard time saying no then when it comes time to do it I am like eerrrr I don't want to go. Yesterday I got a call from the school to see if I would come and help in the kitchen today. I said yes even though I had a ton of things I wanted to do today. Now that I am awake I am thinking errrr I don't want to go and help in the kitchen. The head lady there is a control freak who has to do everything herself or watch over you to make sure you are stirring right. I will end up going because I said I would but know I am going to hate every minute of it. I just wish I could come up with nos when I get the out of the blue call to help someone. Do you find this happens to you or are you a person that can say no easily?

Similar thing happened to me. My neighbors were leaving and my parents left so they needed SOMEONE to take care of their rabbit. Considering that I was staying behind I accepted to take care of the rabbit. Now I have to go outside, in freezing weather, every morning and take it out. Then, at night I have to chase behind it and put it back in its cage. It can take up to half an hour. I would much rather be slacking off at home doing nothing.

I can say it - in a heart beat. I used to not be able to but I've learned how.
About 10 years ago I couldn't say no to just about anything but I've learned to because I couldn't do everything and what I needed to get done too. Some times I'd be too tired and couldn't do some things or too sick. Now working for someone who's mean as this woman, I know how long I'd be there. lol

I have the same over the years wherein I said yes when I really wanted to say no. I realized that agreeing something that is so against from what we want and our conviction is dishonoring to ourselves. More and more I have tried to be truer to myself by learning to say NO even if it would displease somebody. I could afford for other people to think less of me but I cannot afford to think less of myself. I believe that one actually losses a little of ones self respect by going against ones conviction, desires and beliefs. So I have to be true and learned to say NO. It is hard but its a step in the right direction.

I am just like this. I usually don't say no to anything asked of me unless there is no way that I can do it. Then later I totally regret it!! I guess that I am a people pleaser~but lots of times that works against me because I am not pleased!
