Personal Problem

Alright you guys, this is a serious personal problem. For the last few weeks,(maybe a month) I have noticed that a little while after I have taken a shower and put on deodorant, I start having this funky odor. I still smell a faint scent of deodorant, but the funk is just horrible. I use soap and body wash and I change the fragrances on a regular basis, but that has not made a difference. I believe that I was using Degree when the problem started and have since switched to Suave, just to have something different. The one thing that has remained the same though, is that I am using Zest body wash. I do not know if you guys remember my post about the Zest Mint Explosion that smelled like toothpaste. Well I e-mailed the company and they sent me a coupon for a free body wash. So this time I purchased the new Aqua one. I do not know if there is somethig faulty about the new Zest line or if my body just needs something stronger now. Now friend says that she does not smell it, even when I put my arm up in her face. I mean she does wrinkle her nose and complain that she does not want to smell it, but she would tell me if she did. None of my other friends have pulled me to the side and said anything either. I know that my nose is sensitive, but off it is not. This has never happened to me before. I mean, the deodorants that did not work before, never did work. But these are ones that worked before. This is really annoying as I do not know which one to buy, that would definitely work. My favorite is Dove, so maybe I will switch back to that, I just really hate to waste my money on something else that will not work. Anybody know of a deodorant that always works no matter what? One friend says try Mitchum. I know that Mum works (at least it use to) but that is an expensive habit. But, I guess I do not mind if it actually works. Sighs, fans armpits.

I like the Dove products and also used Mum too and can't seem to find the mum products in our stores here - those worked best for me. I tried others but always come back to Dove. Maybe the Zest products are not doing the job for you. What I would suggest Rozie is to talk to your doctor about it because there could also be an underlying issue that you are not aware of. Just a thought.

Yes, I was reading about some of that. I will more than likely have to mention it to him. I really love the Dove line a lot also. I just like to change scents all the time. My nose is very sensitive, so after enjoying one scent for an entire month, I am ready for a change. I believe that I will see my doctor and head back to Dove though. Thanks for the advice.

i think you can check by changing the soap. may be u can again use dove or something else. or it can also be different after some time.

I purchase a different soap, body wash, and deodorant each time I go shopping. I am not loyal to any one brand. I especially like to try the new stuff.

Having something bad like odor in under-arm is quite embarassing. If there is really something bad odor why dont you use some lemon while taking a bath? Or maybe just you dont like the smell of the new product that you use! Or better yet, do you have Filipino friends out there? You can ask for "Tawas" it is very effective, just ask anyone if you have one... Don't worry Filipinos are very friendly people... :P

I know plenty of Filipino people. You said it is called "Tawas?" Well I have no idea what that is, but I will ask around and see. Sounds like something natural to me.
