The Zen of Mylot - do you go with the flow?

After taking a 6 month break from the site i'm curious to find out about how people are using it. Do you use mylot purely as a method to make yourself some extra cash, perhaps setting yourself targets for how many posts you need to make on a daily or weekly basis? Or do you go with the flow, responding to the threads you find interesting and enjoying the journey along the way. Personally, when I last used Mylot I saw it mainly as a way to make a bit of spare cash and as a result it became pretty draining. However, now I take a much more laid back approach and i'm really enjoying giving my opinions on the many varied discussions that are out there. So what about you? Are you a go-getter or do you go with the flow?

admittedly, the first catch when joining this site is to earn extra cash. but more than that, mylot has been useful for me as some sort of emotional theraphy when i was undergoing problems with my relationship with my boyfriend at the time i joined. i had an outlet to vent out my emotions/feelings and the mylot community was like a peer support community during those times. i also realized that in order to earn more in mylot, one has to be more active. to be more active, one has to enjoy participating in discussions here. i experienced the thrill of earning a few cents for the posts, earning pay-outs, reaching star ratings, the 500 posts, the 1000 posts, meeting new friends, earning best responses... those were great. they made me enjoy mylot more. honestly, i'd earn more doing something else with the time i used to spend in mylot. but i like it here. now, the earnings is of the least importance because i haven't been as active these days as i used to be. without much spare time during travels and field work, i only get to do mylot a few minutes once or twice a week at the most. and often, i visit mylot just to read discussions and probably respond to 1-2 discussions i fancied participating in. so i'd say, i'm doing the very laid back approach... :)
