Is stuffing envelopes for $4-6 each a good deal?

Stuffing envelopes is a scam I tried it years ago. They send you a letter to copy and send out. The letter is a copy trying to get other people to do the same thing. You are paid by people asking for the same job you are doing. I would say you are probably supposed to get $4 from the people that you send the letters to. Rhen they want to sell you the address to send the envelopes to.
