and right now it is snowing like mad outside. My Cubs open their season at home on March 31st. I expect it will be freezing at Wrigley with a major wind chill. It's crazy mad that they have had games postponed due to...SNOW!!! I truly love Wrigley Field. It is one of the best places to see a game live, but sometimes I just wish my boys of summer would play these early games in a dome. Does your team play in a dome?

In a dome? Noooooooooo! You are lucky enough to go to Wrigley Field , a mecca of baseball. The beauty of baseball is that the weather can help or harm your team.it is your home field advantage that it is so cold in Chicago. My nationals are starting in their new field Sunday. I won't know if we will have a home field advantage or not.

Were the Nationals playing on a football field? Any stadium made for baseball would be better than that! I have to check out their new field online. True, weather can be a factor in deciding home advantage, sometimes. But, when most of the players are from warm weather countries or states, I don't think it matters too much. Now the fans, they matter and Wrigley has some of the greatest!! PEACE

No they don't. I think baseball should be played out doors myself though. I think the elements make the game more interesting. I hate the thought of playing in the cold. But just imagine it being 40 degrees out, the bottom of the ninth and having to face Kerry Wood with his 98mph fastball. Even with batting gloves on your hands will hurt like heck when you make contact with the ball. You would be better off just standing there praying that he walks you. But then, the ball could slip and plunk. I would ask the coach to sit me out. Hopefully the drought will end this year. I agree with you. Wrigley Field is the best place you could ever watch a game at. That's why they call it the friendly confines.

I am too excited Woody is back and our closer. I wish him health, because if he stays healthy, the Cubs will be totally awesome! PEACE

I think they are a little better than last year. I will miss Angel Pagan but Reed Johnson should fill in nicely. Don't be surprised if he becomes the everyday center fielder. It was a blessing that the Blue Jays let him go. My other wish is that Pignatti (not sure how to spell his name) gets the final roster spot. Also, I would not be surprised if Murton gets traded. His name has been mentioned several times in their attempt to obtain Brian Roberts. Wouldn't that be nice. This years motto: Cubs will do great in 2008. Cubs rule, Cardinals drool. Thanks

The Famous Marquee - What I want to see as I leave the game on Wednesday!
Cubbies Rule! My husband surprised me with tickets to Wednesday's game. 4th row tickets! Woo Hoo! I have four Cubs tops to choose from. I guess I will decide which to wear when I see what the weather is like that day. I can't wait. Too bad I don't have a Cubbies parka!

Oh I do hope it isn't cold for you. I have been to games on Memorial Day at Wrigley when it was 35 with a wind chill. Hot chocolate was my drink that day! Anything else was just too dang cold. Bring blankets and mittens. It is only supposed to be in the high 30's. A Cubbie win will definitely warm you up, though. Have fun!!! PEACE

My team played in Japan this week! They do not play in a dome at home. I also wish that there were more dome stadiums! We had a dome stadium for the hockey team!
