So I don't watch the Celeb Apprentice much but I thought I'd catch the finale. Apparantly the Backstreet Boys that Trace has gotten for his event are pretty demanding. They even have a whole contract and a rider to the contract saying everything they wanted in the dressing room. Apparantly last week they asked for wheat grass? (i didn't see it) but today they asked for Black Nailpolish.
Ok GIVE ME A BREAK! This is for Charity! You would think they would just say YES we'll be there, sign a little contract to agree to show up, and that's it. It's for charity!!!! Why should they have to spend time, money and energy trying to make the backstage perfect for you?
Spoiled rotten celebs! Like they don't have enough money to buy their own wheat grass and nail polish. Lame!!

Uh.
A. It's for charity. Correct.
2. It's a reality show. Do you think that it would be as interesting if the BSB's just said "sure i'll do it...we don't care if we have to change in a spot a pot!" NO. It wouldn't make for interesting reality television. Do you think the Backstreet Boys are really that horrible? NO. It's playing up that stuff for reality television. Do you really think Trace said all of that stuff about them because he really meant it? NO. It's reality television!
Not to mention that ALL bands do this. If you're curious about the ridiculous riders that some bands, other than the backstreet boys, have asked for ...
go here: http://www.thesmokinggun.com/backstagetour/
There are tons of tour contracts and riders and such for all sorts of people. Who ask for things even more ridiculous than black nailpolish and wheatgrass juice.
They're not "spoiled rotten celebs" they're playing up things for reality television!
I'm a huge fan of Donald Trump and I love the Apprentice.
While I think Omarosa is an idiot and should not have been on the celebrity apprentice, I know that Trump is not an idiot and knew that her presence would gain ratings. He's not gonna have a task be easy and handed to the celebs on a silver platter because... that makes for boring television.
Not realizing that reality television is actual reality and not people just playing things up... is lame!

Well I do agree that they play things up for TV and I do agree that all bands have ridiculous riders, it doesn't make me think they are any less spoiled and rotten.
Usually I feel more respect for those on this show who just GIVE without asking for anything in return. Every person who just went up to trace and donated cash or checks, those people I have more respect for then the BSBs. If you think about it, the BSBs asked for all this stuff but really gave nothing in return. Many more respectful performers would have performed AND donated a huge chuck of change too.
Finally, I didn't even know those "boys" were still performing. If I were them, I'd want to show myself as a respectful performer on TV so that more ppl would buy my cds! I'd give and give and give 10x more since it was on tv. So that's how I would play it up for the cameras, I would GIVE a lot. Asking for a lot seems like a dumb way to play for the cameras and instead made them look like spoiled rotten brats.

And I do agree that Omarosa is an idiot. What was that line she just said about piers and dental floss? It sounded like a planned joke that totally failed! She is not a celebrity and that is the main reason I initially refused to watch. I only started watching when my mom told me all the celebs hated her :-D

That sort of goes back to them wanting to be treated like a regular person when they are out and about but when they get in trouble they want special treatment. Hey, you are the one making millions of dollars so you gave up your privacy when the cash started coming in. Lots of famous people have insane requests for movie shoots and backstage events; the worst was when we had to come up with thirteen black candles for a certain rock group. Have any idea how hard it is to find black candles in the first place let alone at 11:30 at night?

That's crazy! I totally agree, they have the money, so it should be easy enough for them to have their "people" buy that stuff for them. In fact, they should just hire a person that goes to all events and sets it up for them! They shouldn't make the venue bend over backwards for fear that they won't go on.
I can't even imagine telling my boss I can't work today b/c I'm not happy since she didn't provide me the right type of water at my desk! Why do these celebs think it is OK to demand so much when us regular people are willing to work without any of that stuff?
I was at a fundraiser last Oct. It was HOT! We had to walk a few miles and by the end we were dying. They gave us little bottles of water and granola bars, that was about it. It was for Charity and I wouldn't expect the organization to waste any more money on ME! I'm supposed to be helping, not taking.

Well, some of them are down to earth about things. They do have people that are supposed to coordinate things for them but they are usually busy doing their own thing. Pete Steele from Type O Negative was one of the funniest. He walked over and interrupted a conversation we were having and said, "I hate to sound like a d*ck but is there any place around here that will deliver a pizza?" Most other "stars" would have demanded a fresh pizza with all the toppings and would have probably wanted someone to chew it for them too. Not all stars are spoiled and I am sure that some of what we read about them is exaggerated but I know from first hand experience, the personality of some of them have greatly suffered due to their stardom and income.

It doesn't surprise me. I think their 15 minutes of fame is up. What little respect I had for them dropped even more. I agree with you on this.

Yeah and I didn't even know they were still a group until this show! I thought they were long gone. So if I were them, I would have been OVERLY accomodating and OVERLY generous to try and get everyone to buy my CDs.
I compare them to Trace. He was so nice and so sweet all the time that I actually want to buy his CD even though I'm not into Country that much. So if the BSBs wanted to really sell CDs, then they should have let go of their rider and on National TV shown themselves to be good guys!
Oh well! I didn't even know they had a new CD coming out until last night and now I hope no one buys it.
