I was dieting last year but now I have slowly put the weight back on again. I'm 25...did go on a diet, not a strict one either, still ate what I liked to eat but did alot more of the exercises and lost the extra pounds. A year and a half on.sadly the weight is creeping back up and I've got to start again. But I think it's real tough for me to diet anymore. I have a strong food carving now. Have you ever been on diet? If asked to diet can you control yourself from eating food? What do you think about dieting? Thank you for responding.

I am on some what of a diet. It's not a true diet at all. I have replaced my breakfast and lunches with protein/fiber shakes and have 2 snacks during the day. I have a supper usually whatever I cook. Doesn't matter but I just take less than usual. I do a little bit of exercise not much as I have a back injury. With having it I put on some pounds. It is slowly coming off now which is the best way to take the extra pounds off than them coming off fast.

I used to buy just chocolate flavored protein powder and throw a scoop in the blender with a banana, some ice, and a handful of peanuts. Sooo delicious! Add a little honey as I like it extra sweet! It kept me full for hours!

Hey! The trick is to resist snacking or binging when you're on that Protein shake meal!! Though you feel full, you feel like munching something and that just piles up! Still, All the best :)

The snacks that I eat are either fruits or vegetables. They are not adding up too much on the calories so I am not too worried about that.

When you do an exercise, our muscle burn fats easily and when you stop it also easy to retain the fats inside... If you are on a diet like if before you were eating 2500 cal a day and u turn it to only 1000 cal a day... Your body will change its way of consuming this calories.. it automatically reduced it that's why it's not that effective unless you do the exercise together... You will start craving because your body responses to what your body needs that dictates you what to do... I know someone who do a week strict diet.. he lost a lot of pounds but easily put it back and become more chubby than before... You should know your will regarding diet like put green veggies or fruits on list.. Drink 8 - 12 glasses of water... Eat small frequent meals and don't make it fast for you.. Eat slow... i'm 26 and i gain 55lbs during the rest of my pregnancy... Now my figure is back when i was single...

I agree that water has a major importance if we are on diet. When you diet you lose fat. Toxins are stored in our fat cells from foods we eat and even the air we breath. Flushing it out will keep those excess toxins from making you sick. And water will also fill you up and curve your appetite. Good health to you! Also drinking icecold water can actually help you burn calories because your body has to heat it to body temperature to utilize it, and it takes calories to do that.

It's not one bit easy to diet but I'm learning it's really all about changing you habits and lifestyle. I delivered mail for years so I could eat whatever I wanted to and never gain an ounce but now I'm not working anymore, plus I'm getting older and it's catching up with me. I've been eating cereal lately and I've found it to be quite satisfying and it's helping to control my hunger. Also, drink lots of water and tea is good for you too. Good luck! Annie

I was n strict diet for almost 3 months - no junck food, no fried food, no sweets , no chocolates and I lost almost 15-18 pounds . Ofcourse I was exercising much at that time. It is really not easy to follow strict diet like that when others are enjoying food. But I got results . Now I do try to follow the diet. Sometimes I could not but then I balance it next day by having only salads , skipping dinner, and extra exercises.

I have been on a few diets, vegetarian, protein, milkshakes etc etc etc They worked, then they don't anymore and I find myself fatter than before I started. So I stopped and just eat and be merry. I can control my eating when I have a purpose. Just losing weight for the sake of it isn't motivation enough.

I tried lots of type of diet but unfortunatelly without any result. I think and the trial was very successful for me and for my friends also the running and walking. At the first period you have to start with walking one km in a day for a week period after what you have to increase the distance.

Indeed. In fact many doctors recommend brisk walking over jogging because there's less stress on your muscles and joints in your legs.

I have to say that I have tried many diets and the only one that has ever worked for me is Weight Watchers combined with exercise.it's slower so the weight stays off longer, and you don't feel deprived. But when you cut down on my food for any reason, I am miserable! High blood pressure is a new threat to my health, so diet I must, once again!

I have been on a diet and they do not work. You are thinking of food all the time, and remember the first three letters of diet, is die and you do feel like you are dying. What you have to do is to exercise, even walking helps and change what you eat, concentrate of more fruits, vegetables, and salads, and cut down on the meat. Also green tea helps. It seems to speed up the metabolism, but you cannot go and eat what you used to like all the time. You have to have the fattening and sweet stuff as treats not as everyday meals. Then you will lose weight.

Yes, I went on a program May 19, 2007. It was very helpful. I have certain routines in a day for exercise too. I was a little preoccupied and follows a strict diet. Of course, it was hard at first. The system is changing and every single in the body is sure to react. I still went for it. I lost 14 pounds. I am 112 pounds and went down to 98 lbs. I am very petite 4'8 in height so I really need to slim down and I did. However, the past days, I don't seem to follow my usual diet so, I am gaining weight. The last time I checked it, it was already 102 lbs. Still good but we really need to maintain good healthy exercise and food diet to maintain not only our health but our body built. Cheers! You can do it!

I do diet but not really a strict one, I just make sure I have enough food intake. Just eating the right kind and amount of food. I never skip meals though and I take extra food suplements like grape seed extract and whey. For me, it works. I was very fat before and for me, dieting and exercise have helped me a lot. Now, I am pregnant but I am not gaining much pounds, just enough for the baby's growth and development. My dietician introduced me to different diet routines. She made me some eating plans and menus that I follow especially now that I am pregnant. I hope not to gain more weight after giving birth. One advice I could give you is never skip meals. It makes your metabolism slower. i hope you get something from my response. Thank you.

Personally i don't believe in diet products. I don't agree in cutting our appetite just to get a great body shape. Seen some of my friends took a lot of diet pills, of diet drinks formula but apparently it's not working as they hope for. For me i always do exercises. I currently doing aerobics in some clubs, and just ate what ever i want. I believe in eat what u desire but keep on exercise to keep fit.

I am not interested in going on diets. I am not interested in trying to live up to society's standard o what a person should look like. I am a little overweight, but not much, and I am very tall. I am going to enjoy life, and enjoy food.

A diet actually is what you eat, literally. Even if you're not "on a diet", you're on one. So, I don't think it's as important to go 'on' a diet, as it is to gradually 'change' your diet. If you just stop all the sudden, your results will likely be short-lived. After you lose the weight, it comes right back because suddenly you're thinner and assume you can get away with more. And if "more" is what a person wants to begin with, why take it all away? The best 'diet' I ever found was walking. It feels so good after you do it a while, and not once do you ever have to 'count calories'. You will just naturally thin down - and feel better! No sense killing yourself with leafy greens lol ..

It is very hard to diet. Couple things that help: 1. eat a larger breakfast and you don't get so hungry the rest of the day 2. stay away from artificial sweetners, I have had way less cravings since I went off of them 3. find a diet that you can live with, if you hate what you're eating you won't stick with it for long! 4. walking is a really great exercise, but also do different exercises every so often, muscles get 'bored'

I am on diet now! And with some efficent therapy----Chinese massage. It's so useful.3 years ago when I was in my college,I was on diet, too.But simply eating less than normal time for 7 monthes ,and true the effect was obvious. However I can lose weight but not the fat around my lower abdomen.Chinese Massage can help you get rid of the fat and rebuild the body. But control myself and refuse the high calorie is essential.
