Why do people complain about links?

Yes,it's against Mylots rules to post links to a referral site. But,why are people so rude when they point out to other people that they broke this rule?I used to post links in my discussions, too.I learned my lesson easy enough when the took all my points away from those discussions. If Mylot is so adamant about not posting link, why don't they format their software so that the links don't work.Other sites do this. Before anyone says that people should just read and follow the rules, let me state this fact.I work in retail during the day.I deal with people all day.People in general are stupid. That's why they don't follow the rules. So lighten up on people when the put a link in their discussion. They'll learn from their mistakes.

I think the annoying part about it is that when someone posts a link to a new site that has a lot to offer, they might get loads of referrals without following the rules of the site. I personally find it more annoying when people delete the referral IDs from the end of links and join programs from the homepage. This is pointless as they still end up as someone's referral, just an upgraded member or sold as a package. Why can't people give credit to the person that introduces them to a new site? Maybe they think that no matter how much they earn, they will always be earning someone else money? The logic just isn't there.

Well, speaking from personal experience,I don't think they are.I used to put my website link on some of my discussions and they got deleted. That's why I put my link on my profile and direct people to it. I also think it's up to the people that run Mylot.I guess they can't catch everything.

I was probably rude when pointing this out some months back. Then I gave up. But there is another point being overlooked so far in this discussion. Here it is against the rules to post links that promote other sites - BUT, and I learnt this the hard almost one year ago, posting a link containing a ferral link where it is not requested is considered spamming and THAT is against teh TOS on almost every site. You get you account deleted as I found out. It's not easy to tell people in a very polite way time after time not to do something, especially when those pople so blatantly are not reading the rules. But I know how you feel. Nice discussion too.
