Romance Books

Has anyone ever read those harlequin books about billionaires falling for beautiful women down on their luck. I have a whole collection and have read almost every single one but it makes me eat my heart out because I would love to have some handsome billionaire chasing after me.

I love reading those books. But I'm a broke college student so I don't really buy them instead I get them from the library. But I could spend hours readin those books because of their content. I think every single woman would like to be in the shoes of those women in the books. I get chills reading those books.

Thats where i actually bought them from was the library. they had a box full for only $2 of course now i am trying to figure out how to get rid of them since i read them all.

I only read a few of those books because as pointed out before, they are all the same. I inquired at Harlequin about writing for them. They sent me their guidelines and those are their exact guidelines, that is why every story sounds the same. Girl meets guy, girl hates guy, girl loves guy. Booooring. Which is why I'm not writing for them!
As for wanting some billionaire chasing me down? As long as we have something in common and can laugh together. I wouldn't want to be with someone just because of their money. I want to enjoy living as a couple as well.

You know I never thought of that. Are you a writer, because I've been trying to find out how to get my writing career started and it's been really hard. I think I might do that but not with Harlequin because if those are their guidelines then I won't be able to let my creativity show.

I'm guilty of reading them as well. I know that is every womans dream.. and I think Harlequin knows that and will use that to capitalize on the book market!

I don't read a lot of romance novels. The last really good one I read was A Woman of Substance by Barbara Bradford. It's a rags to riches story but she didn't ascend to wealth by marriage but on her own merit and talent. It's an excellent book. :-)
