Which countries have you visited?

March 29, 2008 6:16am CST
My home country is England. So far in my life, I have visited quite a few countries but they have all been in Europe. I have been to France, Belgium, Wales, Norway, Denmark, Holland, Switzerland and they are all I can remember right now! My favourite place had to be Switzerland. I can't remember exactly where it was we stayed, but it seemed so safe there and the landscape was absolutely beautiful. It was lovely traveling up and down the mountains on the trains and seeing the wonderful ice sculptures. The houses there were beautiful too. I would really recommend going there. Especially as a family holiday. So which countries have you visited and which place was your favourite?

Firstly welcome to Mylot I like your avatar name, cool! I love travelling, travelling broadens your outlook on life and you learn about other people and cultures. So far in my life I have visited Cyprus, Canary Islands, Germany, France, Rhodes and Holland. I would love to go further, like New Zealand and Sweden, hopefully one day. I think my favourite was Cyprus because it was the first time I flew and everything was exciting and new to me, my biggest experience was getting on a plane!

Yes I take part in Yougov, it's great because you are eligible for every survey, not like some sites that you get half way through and you are told sorry you are not eligible. I love archerfish because it's a UK paid site that pays £££. I would hate to be stuck like that, would scare me, cowardly wolf!

I'll have to check archerfish out! And yes, it was quite scary. Especially having to go again with the free tickets they gave us afterwards. And going home the time it happened!

Thank you! Ha, I got my name idea firstly on YouGov if you have heard of it. If you know it, you'll know that it has apples as its picture at the top of the page and I wasn't sure what to call myself on there. Then I just randomly put that, and have adapted it as my username for websites since! I have heard that Cyprus is nice through friends. I am afraid of heights so I tend to go by train to countries. The trouble we have had though. I once was stuck on a train to France for 6 hours. They had ran out of food and the toilet doors wouldn't shut. It was a heatwave too. People actually forced open the doors and got out for some fresh air. It got announced on the BBC and everything lol. I remember the train getting pulled by another after the long wait and we went through a tunnel in darkness. I also remember a woman running around trying to get food for her baby! Nobody had any!

it's a pity that i havn't been abroad so far.the farthest place i have reached is hongkong.while i think it's a fast-pace city, which is rather suitable to work than living. i even envy you having been to so many countries already.i wonder do you visit those countries for family holiday or other reasons?

I always go for family holidays. Something always seems to go wrong though, lol. Especially in france. I have been to France about 7 times and we have always had problems understanding the language and money. Though most times it was when they had Francs as money.

I stayed in Paris for 3 days and think it was nice as it composes quite a variety of scenery and historical sites to visit. In my mind France is also a good place to visit.

I am from America so obviously I have been all over there (I've been in every state except Hawaii). I also have been in Canada and Mexico and I went on a Carribean cruise in '93. Two years ago, I moved to China to teach English. On the breaks, I have been to several Southeast Asian countries including Thailand, Cambodia, and Laos. Before coming to China, I also had been to Hong Kong and Macau. Some might argue that they are part of China, but you need a passport to get to any of them from China so I will leave that alone at that. My favorite place was Thailand. You can have beach or mountain jungle.

If you are counting from when I was born, it was first Scotland, then England, and then over the ocean to Canada where I have been ever since with frequent visits to the United States. We plan to go to Florida the end of this year or the beginning of the next, and sometime in the future, we want to take a railroad tour in the United Kingdom and if we are lucky, a Mediterranean cruise, but we are not rich people so we will have to save very hard to have that happen. We went to the States, and I loved it best. I am not sure whether it was Maine, or Ohio.

I live in the United States and have only been to one country and that was when I was in the Air Force. I was stationed in Turkey. I got to see some of the country side and it is very pretty. The people were friendly also. My time spent there was a enjoyment but I was glad to get sent back home. I have been to no other countries.

I am also from the UK. So far in Europe I have been to Ireland, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg, Germany, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, Spain, Italy, Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Switzerland, Liechtenstein and Austria. In the Americas I have been to St Lucia, the USA, Mexico, Belize and Guatemala. In Africa I have been to Tunisia, the Seychelles and Kenya. In Asia I have been to Turkey, Israel, Jordan, the Maldives, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia. In Australasia I have been to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, the Cook Islands, French Polynesia and Samoa. I have had three favorite trips in my life so far. One was my trip around the world 1993-94, to New Zealand and the islands of the Pacific ocean 2002 and Central America 2006. Going on safari in Kenya in 1997 was a special trip. Samoa is my favorite country in the world and I also adore Australia and New Zealand. I would recommend a trip to Australia to anyone because it is a wonderful country with a varied landscape and unique wildlife.

I have visited U.A.E only. But due to scientific advancement, I have the opportunity to view the places of many countries in T.V. channels.
