After 2 weeks of trying, I've finally gotten the medical records of the new cat! His name was really Feno - maybe named after the Jamaican entertainer? Still don't know what injured his sholder, but the stitches were put in on Feb 18th so they were in there a whole month, tho the instructions said to bring him back in 15 days to have them removed. He doesn't like to be held, but he loves being pet. I'd like him to get friendly enough to sleep with me - like I REALLY need ANOTHER cat in my bed! But that's a point that some adopters like to know - one of the things that helped get Serena adopted was her cuddly nature. We're going to try to get a picture of him this weekend - last weekend with Easter and trying to get Mitten from the pound was just too busy.

I would have taken him if I lived close to you, I cannot bear to here of an unwanted cat, it is just awful how some people treat their animals.

hmmmmm...If you started a discussion about your new cat b4 now, I never seen it. Anyways, congrats on the new addition to the family, Elic. I'm sure he'll find out from the others just how lucky he was to land in your home.

Now that I'm more alert, I do recall you mentioning him b4. Glad to hear your finger is healing up nicely. It's sad that some cats never know the 'softer' side of life with us humans. Once they do thou, they love it. Just ask Tigger. He can't get enough hugs and cuddles.

ya know, I may not have, but I've mentioned him - He's beginning to figure out that this place has some up sides compared to living outside a block from a highway with other, bigger, intact tom cats. He likes our porch. On day I looked out there and about half the cats, including him, were out there peacefully.

So far he hasn't gotten into bed with me and all those other cats. But, he is calming down, so that's good.

I'm glad that you finally got it. Feno is a cute name. I'm glad that he isn't too wild to be petted. I know how nice it is to have a pet sleep with you. My dog does sometimes until he gets too hot and then he jumps down. He has to have a whole side of the bed too, LOL. I am so glad you got Mitten from the pound and that job is over with. did your finger heal fully now?

We weren't real sure there for a while, but he's beginning to calm down nicely. My finger is still sore to the touch in certain places on it where the fangs when into the muscle, but the skin has healed and while its still peeling a bit, its looking pretty good - and for less than 3 weeks that's like speed healing - mustta been all the antibiotics

Well, that's good to hear. I'm glad your finger is getting better. I know it must have hurt and stung when it happened and afterwards also. I am glad that you took antibiotics to speed the healing process too. I know it takes me quite some time to heal without it.

The more cats the merrier I say. Saves on heating costs in winter! lol. I love cats, like dogs too, but cats are my preference. Wish I could have 1, but landlord says no

Personally, I'd like to get the numbers back under 20, but I'm not totally unhappy with what I've got. I do have to say that I don't want to lose any the hard way, but with a 17 yr old and 2 14, I doubt I'll have those for many more years.

His sister, Rose, was a much more passive cat than he is, but she was also very pregnant and sick when we got her so that may have been part of it.
