Nothing... or not.

I offer you nothing Expect of you nothing Giving whatever I can at this moment Accepting whatever you give I do not follow you Do you not turn you away Coming to you when I wish Letting you in when you knock I seek no gain from this Have nothing to lose Tell you whatever I can And do not pry This is simplicity and while it might not be love It is something more than the nothing I expected. For those of you who like to line up what I'm writing with what's going on in my life, I have no idea where this one came from. It just exists.

You can bring things out very beautifully, lecanis! I really appreciate this ability! Expecting nothing 'is' a very freeing experience, elevating one to a level where one can't be exploited in certain ways or, maybe, in anyway. And then, giving more than nothing you expected, I find it rich and respectable! When did you right it, lecanis!?

*laughs* Just a few minutes before I posted it here, kamran. It just popped into my head. That's how poetry usually works for me. You're right, it is very freeing to be able to expect nothing.

In my homeland, it is believed that the best original poetry can not be thought over, it just happens/occurs, it just descends on poet's mind and soul like revelations, and I like to believe it to be right. My best, too, just occurred/happened!

very philosophical, I like it nothing is everything all wrapped in one, the simply act of being, not good not bad just being.no wants or desires, no needs or neediness, no just existing or living the moment and excepting it for what it is, everything and nothing, a single moment in time.

From your title and text I suppose I should not leave you anything ... nothing ... as you put it. But I thought I should leave you something for your effort. Have a great day!

To be or not to be? Is that the question? AS simple as life can get, love or not, it feels good, is satisfying, and who needs more? At the moment, in the moment, and for the moment you are happy! Good for you! Enlightenment seems to be coming your way!

Are you not happy about something or someone??? I like what you said here nonetheless. I always like what you write...

Nope, skinnychick, I'm not "not happy". It was just a moment of thoughtfulness about the value of not expecting anything sometimes, if that makes sense. *shrugs* I'm glad you liked my poem!

It does make sense...perfectly. I think I equated it at the way I would have felt had I written this even though you wrote it. I would gave been disappointed about something. But that is just my overreading into poetry. You've gotta love me for it! :)

woah... that sounded so angry. A nice piece to read. Especially for someone who just got rejected by a love one. Soft words, that are very nicely pieced together to produce a very powerful message! Nice one you got there lecanis!
