When Playing Tooth Fairy For Your Child, Have You Ever Forgotten To Do It?....

My 7 year olds tooth came out the other night, and he dutifully wrapped it in tissue paper and placed it under his pillow. We had his coin and a little thank you note all ready to swop for the tooth and guess what? We ended up forgetting!!
Of course when he got up the next day, he was quite disappointed that the tooth fairy had not visited and taken his tooth, we felt really bad and so I told him that sometimes the fairy gets so busy with all the teeth she has to collect that sometimes it can take a day for her to get around everyone!! It worked though and he was quite happy with my reason, and the next night we made sure he had his coin left and an extra note to say sorry that she did not come sooner but that she was really busy!! PHEW that could have been a disaster.
Have you ever forgotten? Do you do anything else special besides just leave a coin?

She certainly did, I felt so guilty gabs I cannot tell you, I have never ever done that before!

LOL The very same thing happened to us last year sweety! I had just had my surgery and couldn't get around so my other half was supposed to leave the money under the pillow - he fell asleep and forgot all about it! We are obviously not such nice parents as you cos we told her it was cause she stayed awake too long and the tooth fairy wouldn't come because of that! She was in bed asleep extra early that night and so pleased when she had her visit! When she lost a tooth a couple of months ago she couldn't wait to get to bed which kind of puzzled me until she reminded me that she didn't want to risk the tooth fairy not coming again! lol xxx
