Is taller woman to shorter man really an odd match?

This may sound awful but I will not date a shorter man. Won't even give him a chance. I won't even date a guy who is just as tall as me. I'm 5 ' 7 and usually date men who are at least 6 ' 0. It's not being prejudice about height I just do not find it attractive when the man is shorter than me. I want him looking down into my eyes not the other way around, lol.

Oh thats ok Phillygirl. We are all entitled to our prejudices of choosing a partner if we want to call them that. It is always best to go after our hearts disire once we're not being unreasonable instead of trying to adopt to what everyone else's way of thinking.
Word to the wise..........life may be the only one which will succeed to knock us down a peg or two and really show us if we're looking in the right direction, up, down or right across. I hope it will never tell me to look down. I'd have to ask if life had just lost its mind (smile). Thanks for sharing. (lol)

Haha! This really made me laugh out loud! What? Imagine this, I am 4'10 and if I will marry a man shorter than I man, I don't even want to think about it. LOL.
But if I will be taller, maybe I will consider it. LOL.

I know exactly what you mean Jeannie. I am just a bit taller standing at 5ft 1" and I definately dont see myself talking to someone shorter. Now that may end up looking even more odd/funny than the ordinary. I would have to be well bowled over with love. (lol)

hi tjades, i am 5'6 tall i would prefer woman shorter than me or same height... ^_^ if she be alittle taller i think it is okey but not too much discrepancy...

Oh now thats a question....with out sounding rude to anyone but no i cant imagine being with someone shorter then me cus i am 5.7 i have always been called tall so i think its in my head but you do see it alot..but hey i havent been in that situation as my partner is over 6ft but love has its ways!!

I'm almost 6' tall. I'd say about half my partners have been shorter than me.
Why should we care? It's not something important to the relationship.

I have an Aunt that is taller than my Uncle and even though it kinda looks odd, they actually make a lovely couple.
I prefer someone taller than me - my husband is 6'1 and I'm 5'9.

How tall a man is has nothing to do with love. That is just silly. A couple is 2 people in love not a set of salt and pepper shakers. I am a woman and quite tall. I have dated shorter men and thought absolutely nothing about how we "look" together. That is just too silly.

A bit odd in my opinion. But my cousin is dating with a girl slightly taller than him. I went over my aunt place for new year's eve and that's when I saw them. At first, I didn't notice but only later when they stood near each other but i see they don't care about such little details. At this moment, they are still dating.
