March 31st with 9 inches of snow expected?

Well this really sucks. But then I do live in Minnesota afterall. here it is March 21st and we are expecting up to 9 inches of snow today. major winter storm coming in spring. And guess what? Og course I am going to the casino tomorrow morning when the raods will be bad again due to rain tomorrow. I really hate this snow at this time of year. The end of March and over a half foot coming. At least it will all be melted within a couple days though. Goping to be near 50 from Wed on. Anyhow are you supposed to get hit with this same storm or what? This photo was taken a few minutes ago. Got abopuit half an inch so far and it's only been snowing for about 45 minutes.

It's been snowing here all day Grandpa Bob. Lucky for you though your only suppose to get 9 inches.. We are suppose to get 11-13 inches of snow and I am in northern Wisconsin... I guess in order for it to become real spring the snow has to go some where right! So the only thing it's going to do is snow and get it out of the skies so that warm weather can come back our way again... However yesterday was a beautiful day it was nice and sunny!

yeah I have been watching the track of the storm. This is one rare one as it actually headed NorthEast instead of South. Most storms in my area this winter headed South. I got about 7 inches tiotal. How did you fare there?

We had rain and moisture and drizzle. We have had hail, and we have had thunder. We are not scheduled for any snow that I know about.

We are at the *other* extreme here in Louisiana. The high today is forcasted to be 80 degrees and I can say that it will more than likely reach that temperature because we had the same kind of weather Saturday and Sunday. I'm not quite ready to SWEAT! I'd really love some more weather in the 60's and 70's and gradually ease into this hot and humid stuff. Oh well, that's what you get in the south! I hope you get some spring weather soon! I know you must be tired of all the snow and cold weather up there!

Yeah yeah yeah!
Its going to be in the 50's this weekend and the 40's the rest of this week. So it'll all melt soon enough. But this makes for a nasty commute for those on the highways. One killed so far due to the slick highways today.

We are getting it too, down by Rochester. I sure hope it melts fast! We're also supposed to go to a casino next weekend for a business social event - and were hoping to take our camper. Hopefully it'll warm up enough by then so we can keep water in the camper!

My wife and I are going tomorrow to spend the night at Mystic Lake Casino. Each time we do this the weather is nasty on the way there or nasty on the way back. So this is norm for us. Have fun and drive safe if you're out in this mess at all today/tonight.

Hahahahahahaha....you have to watch what you wish for. I do remember you were wishing for snow. Just think winter is almost over, the snow does eventually have to stop. We still have been getting snow here to, we had several inches the other day.

Yuck, I am sick of snow. We are supposed to get windy weather and a bit of rain, but temps in the lower 60's. This weekend is supposed to be in the 50's, not warm enough to go sunbathing yet, but good enough for a walk on the beach!

This will all melt come Friday as we will be in the 40's this week and near 50 this weekend. I didn't shovel as it's gonna melt anyhow soon.

Brrr I feel for you. Down here we as someone else posted we have the opposite problem. It got really hot and humid here in Florida. Thankfully it did rain and now it's cooling off but at one point I was sweating. I'm hoping for more cooler weather, I don't want to have to turn on the a/c yet. I don't want the electric bill for it. Oh well not much we can do about it.
I hope you stay safe and warm. If you can make a snow angel for me. I used to love to make those when I lived in Michigan but that was a long time ago.

I can't blame you for not wanting to go out in it. I wish we didn't have all the heat and humidity we have. When the floors end up wet because it's so humid that's bad you know? Oh well I guess no where has perfect weather.

We get the hot and humid for a couple weeks here in August maybe Se[tember. But not in March etc. We love our snow & cold. NOT! I don't think I'll be laying in this heavy wet snow at all. Sorry.

You're going to the casino in all that stuff again?? You are either very brave or a glutton for punishment! LOL! Just make sure to be extra careful (I know you drive carefully in that stuff anyway, but it makes me feel better to say it). Here in northern California it's in the upper 60's and sunny right now. There's a bit of a cold breeze at the moment, but it's still not too bad. I'm such a wimp I don't think I'd be able to exist in all that snow you keep getting.

Well yeah I am still going. As long as the highways are opened I'll go. I will be leaving at 10 a.m. and things will have ended and the roads cleared by then anyhow. Going to be near 40 today. Wooo Hooo!

By the way, I received a friend request from somebody named Minnie, which of course, I accepted. I'm looking forward to getting to know her. Could she have sent this, because of her 'famous father.' I hear he's quite well known in these parts.
As for the snow, I sure hope not, as we've had enough 'up here.' We have had horrific winds yesterday though, and it's actually quite cold at the moment. Have a great time away! Take care.

Yeah I have heard nothing excpet GREAT things about Minnie's father. He is renowned as a great writer here possibly? Or is it that he is that easy going and always seems haopy? Either way I have heard he is great. Thanks also.

I think 'both' things are correct, Grandpa Bob. I too have heard about his wonderful writing ability, as well as his fabulous, outgoing personality.

Yeah, I hear them blabbing but I've learned to only half-believe what the weather ppl are saying cause it usually ends up doing just the opposite. Have fun with all your snow, Grandpa Bob. We are getting so much friggin' rain that I feel like I'm on the ark.

No snow here as usual. In fact today we are having the perfect autumn weather. It will be 24 degrees celcuis. Just lovely. And I will be stuck inside the lawyers.
9 inches is a lot of snow. Bad luck if you dont make it to the casino. You can't take a risk on the roads.

Hopefully this storm moves way north of us. I know we are supposed to have major amounts of rain this week. I hate rain almost as much as I am disliking snow. When is it supposed to be warm and dry? No water standing anywhere....I dare to dream. LOL

Well not expecting snow here. We are getting rain though. I do remember about 21 years ago we got snow on March 31st here in Southern Indiana. You may ask how I remember this and it's because it was my daughters 1st birthday. Yes, today is her 22nd birthday!

I heard from a friend that lives south of The Cities that they are expecting 7-9" today and they had already closed schools and sending kids home earlier this morning. I am so glad I don't live up there anymore!
I remember a couple of years ago when it snowed on May 5th. Not a lot, but it snowed.
