In Asian countries 80% people have arranged marriages. Surprisingly divorce rates in these countries are very low. On the other hand most of the people prefer love marriages. Lets discuss the pros and cons of both of them. I would love to hear your views.

Yes you are absolutely correct. Parents know the best for their children. Arranged marriages have been successful most of the time. India is the best example. Very low divorce rate. Kids benefit a lot seeing the successful marriage of their parents.

I think that the best is a love marriage because I mean I think that everyone does that now....I mean I know that in some countries they probably still arrange marriages but who really wants that...because I mean I was always taught that when you find that person that you love and you know that you want to spend the rest of your life with that that is the person that you should ask to marry you and if you just get someone picked for you that isn't going to last I wouldnt think because you don't really love that person at the beginning and you probably don't know much about them...so I think that if someone was going to try and arrange my marriage I would tell them that I would rather pick for myself...but that is just my opinion on the subject.... Thanks for your opinion. I agree with you but some times love is blind. If one falls in love with some one, he or she hardly notices the minus points in that person. On the other hand a well wisher or a parent can. But I liked what you wrote. :)
