We are currently redecorating and as part of the process will buy a new TV. Our is probably 15years old. The only thing is we are blinded by science when it comes to flat screen TV's. Our budget is between $1000-1500 what do we need to look for. We dont want to do anything fancy just watch TV no gaming nothing. Help someone pls point us in the right direction.

well,i think you can choose a suitable one from some famous brands,i think the quality of famous brands can be guaranteed. You can go to the market to have a look of all the displayed TV sets, listen carefully to the sellers' introduction, then, think about your home's actual situation and choose one.

I"m hoping that at the end of the day I will be able to get one from Walmart as that means I will be able to use my Discount card.

Avoid buying T.V.'s from mass retailers. Try to find a local electronics place, They seem to give the best deals. As far as size you can get great T.V. for the money you want to spend. Just keep in mind the bigger you go he more you will have to spend to get the latest and greatest.
