I think someone responed to a response in the wrong discussion...

This was so strange. I saw a discussion that intrigued me because it kinda hit home to how things used to be for me. The person was doing a "small" rant about something that annoyed them. I understood exactly what they meant and told them so with an example of how it happened to me. Well, they responded to me with something that had almost nothing to do with the original sense of the discussion. I think they were thinking of another discussion and responded as if my response was for something else. It was really just strange and makes me realize that if you are unlike me and have tons of discussions out there I guess it can get confusing...

I have done that. I would have more than one discussion open at a time and would confuse the two it sucks. I try not to do that anymore.

Oh, that is hard, working in 2 discussions at the same time. I've done that before too, but I try not to do it too often.

I can see where that may happen. I feel really confused unless I go read the response in context to the discussion. I do not have so many discussions, maybe even fewer than you, but I have lots of responses, and responses to responses. It also gets really dizzying when they pick up on a discussion from over a year ago.

Then there do seem to be a lot of discussions that are similar, so you kinda forget which one you are discussing. I know that some people also reply from e-mail which doesn't give them the whole discussion, just the one reply. That might be a problem sometimes too.
