Internet dating..does it work??

Ive never done it obviously....but there may be some of you that have..or know someone who has....
I would be a bit scared to date someone just from chatting online to them...but in reality its not a lot different from what we called a blind date!!
Ive watched the speed dating on television...and i always wonder how on earth that can work...
I should imagine their are a lot of people who look for a partner through the internet..there are masses of sites...so there must be!!!!!
Come on and tell if you have any experiences of internet dating and if it was successful????3 responses

It worked for me, met my love on the net. However, there are things that works for me but might not work for you. So you better be careful out there because there are a lot of crazy people out. As for how to make your relationship successful, just be true to yourself and get to know the person a lot. This way both of you will know if you're compatible or not. Take your time and don't hurry love :).

No its not for me...ive had my partner for very many years!!
im just interested in how it has worked out for people who have tried it.
It must be quite strange going off to meet someone that you have never seen....maybe even scary.

Hello again, yes it was scary but trusts comes in with every relationship plus I make sure that we were to meet in my own turf ha ha ha. But everything was like magic for us like love at first sight and we're still going strong for 2 years now.

I have never done the classic dating sites thing but I met my husband on the internet by mistake its not like I was looking for someone. We talked every day found out we liked each other he was in Europe me in Australia. Went over there, saw each other, liked each other, lived together, got engaged, got married and had a baby all in all from the day we first talked to the day we had our son it was it was almost 20 months.
