Do you really can delete any user's Discussions and Low down any user ratings???

yup have seen it done there are some that just go thru and do a neg. rating Might complain to mylot and get deleted never know why we get some post deleded or why some get to post and not get deleted no explanations at all

Ohh, that's pretty rude. No one can delete any discussion though, not unless an administrator will. Group of friends to low down your earnings? I guess that would be possible. Are you intending one? LOL. Just kidding. Anyway, that's pretty rude, why will they do it? I guess that goes to say that if a group will do it, it will not only prove that we have characters of getting even or just being envious of others who can be well rated here. I was even wondering why my reputation went down. I don't know who did I offend or did I violated any rule. Sighs. Anyway, it is a challenge to work well to get it back. Cheers!

There are so many rumours swirling around regarding rankings and the ability to have a discussion deleted. Crash answered quite a few of them. I don't know if you followed that 48 hour question and answer session. In any case Mylot alone has the power to delete a discussion. I know they have more than one moderator, so I guess some are more severe than others. Supposedly no discussions get deleted without being read by someone at Mylot. As far as rankings are concerned, they do go up and down, depending on how many people rank you negative. Rankings don't really matter, they do not affect your earnings as far as I know. As far as people getting their friends together to gang up on someone and rate someone negative I think that is really childish. If any of my friends asked me to do that I would immediately remove them from my friends list. I have been on Mylot for more than a year and no one ever asked me to do this. What would be the point? Also from what I gather from the guidelines Mylot could detect this and ban the offenders. So my dear, just keep on posting and responding but pick your discussions carefully. Myself I stay away from discussions if I think they will be deleted by Mylot.

no, only mylot can delete and they do when users tell them that certain discussions are violating the guidelines, ratings is based on what people rate your discussion positive or negative, the computer calculates the star value after all the ratings are in, and so it can go up or down.

I don't think it will get deleted if its withing Mylot guidelines. The number on the star may go down but that's not really important anyway. Its not suppose to affect our payments.

That was the point, if there is only one post and it violate the rule, the entire post will be deleted. If you rate them negative, automatically that were make their rate decreased. That was the initial result,the admin will take another actions for the result, if they see something wrong it will bounce back to the cause and do some actions. Take care, you and your friends might be deleted.

I personally do not think it is possible. We cannot delete discussions I 'do' know that. As for the lowering the rating of someone. I have no idea on how that system is run. It seems to me that it would have to be a 'whole' bunch of negative ratings to do that.

I'm not really sure. I know we can rate each other and alot of epople get their discussions deleted by other members reporting it. Ratings will go down also when other members give us a negative rating. Mylot says that they can also change our ratings also and delete any discussion they do not see fit with the terms of service.

Only mylot admin can delete discussions. As for ratings we get those by people giving us a + or - to our discussions and responses.

i've heard that too and I too am curious. Ive been told that it takes many people to reduce your ranking. I'm not sure on that. Mine once went down quite a bit and it was due to a controversial conversation where i admittedly got a bit carried away. I did deserve it and so I just dealt with it but seriously....it was one conversation. as far as deleting discussions..........i think thats up to the powers that be. we don't do that.

I do not think that we can delete the post or disscussions. But if the people will abide by the rules then these problems will be prevented. It would not be fair if my lotter could delete people post. So I do not believe in deleting people's post especially if it is positive and it is not harming no one.

I don't know. I don't really care. I'm not big on ganging up on people. It's rude and not very nice. Why would you want to do that to someone? So I don't really worry about it. If a topic is innapropriate, I report it, but that's about it.

Even if we have the right to delete any discussion, I will not do it. It is not fair for us to delete one's posting because we may perceive the discussion in a different prospectus.

I supose that webmasters only, can do that! Also you can give negative rating to anyone!

No, someone can not delete another person's discussion or their own for that matter. But if someone doesn't like what you have to say or thinks you broke some rule, they report it as abuse and then mylot deletes it, if it warrants it, in their minds. I don't know why some of the discussions are being deleted because a lot of them are not against any rules I've read about. I don't know what constitutes a deletion anymore.
