I recently began college. I'm working towards a BASS w/concentration in education. When I signed up here, I looked for a button for Ashford University, but I didn't find one. Anyone else here completing their degree online? Anyone at Ashford?

I'm studying on and off online with the Open University. Not doing any courses at the moment, trying to decide what to do next. Either a computer or a space science short course I think.

Is Open an accredited university? I'm asking because there are many online study programs, that don't qualify for FSA. My fiance would like to further his education in auto mechanics, but we would need the extra help with tuition.

Not sure quite what you mean by accredited, but yes, it is a recognized university. Also, one of the biggest in the world - if not the biggest.

Accredited means they are recognized by the National Education Association, and in the feilds of their courses lead into. It also means they have a code for FASFA paper work, so you can get Federal student financial aid.

I am not currently in classes because I am on leave due to my pregnancy but I take my classes online. In fact, I am studying criminal justice and you can go all the way up to a doctorate online in that particular field. I enjoy them because I can work on my stuff when I have time. It is much easier with me since I have a child.

With what college were you taking classes? And what do you plan to do with a doctorate in criminal justice?
