April 2,2008 at around 1 pm (Philippine time) Tiongsan Harrison, one of the big buildings here in my city was caught on flames. Today, employees are advised not to attend to work for the needed repair in the building. http://video.aol.com/video-detail/tiongsan-harrison-fire/735914291?icid=acvsv2 When the building you are in is caught on fire, what would you most likely do first? How alert are you?

We have fire sensor alarms. We are trained to move out when the building is on fire.

i do know exactly, moment like this is totally different, whatever you have program in your mind it will all be vanished, I guess, I would love to save all my things but It will end up just saving my own self with whatever handy things I can grab! I will also make sure to save all my loved ones!

grab a blanket bend down low and rush through the fire to safety if it is not too far, breaking a window makes the smoke go higher.

I am not sure how alert I am, we can never tell our instant reactions to such. I myself had taken up firefighting lessons and seminars, we were even trained how to put it out and how to react on it. But I believe there's a big difference on drills over the actual scenario that is happening right in-front of us, I just hope that I could apply those stuffs if ever a fire does occur..

When I in danger the first thing that comes tto mind is to escape. I have found that even in shock I tend to still have the presence of mind to think with some level of rationality. If I am caught in such a situation I think the first thing I would do is think of all the possible and safest escape route even while I am on the run. Then again when trouble comes the mind can come to a total standstill but I hope not. (lol)

hi jeanniemay On fire! On fire! On fire! the best thing to do is be CALM DONT PANIC, be ALERT! 1)look for nearest fire exit... 2)if the place is crowded and a stampede is likely to happen. find a safe place so that you wont get run into... 3)if the place is in smokes crawl your way out smoke tend to go upside! 4)when outside watch out also for electric wires hanging...you might be electrocuted by it... 5)when your safe...call the fire fighter...
